I loved volunteering in Gradišica. This experience really made me aware of the importance of food and the demanding work done behind the scenes by farmers. The food prepared by Metka at lunch is excellent. The working hours are respected and ideal for someone who wants to learn more about agriculture. There are often other people with you, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Metka was a wonderful host and I enjoyed my time there so much. I met so many other amazing volunteers and the work was very clearly outlined and our time was respected. Metka is a great cook and I loved the lunches that we had all together. Metka's family works so incredibly hard everyday and it eye-opening to see. It is beautiful area and so peaceful. The work we did was hard but rewarding! Thank you Metka!!

I would definitely recommend staying at the farm! The working hours are as agreed and everyday you are greeted by a warm lunch made by Metka. She is one of the most warm-hearted and open-minded person I have ever met, I felt like I learned a lot from her! The work is physically hard at first but you'll get used to it quickly. It's an amazing place to enjoy the nature in Slovenia and learn about harvesting, planting and preparing veggies for the local markets.

Volunteering on the farm with Metka, Bogdan and Gregor was an amazing experience, one that I will remember for a long time, I will take the lessons they taught back home with me. This is a great place to come and learn about sustainable farming and how it's important to use the land to nurture and grow crops. The accommodation is great with a comfortable room, hot shower, good food provided by Metka and a kitchen that allows you the freedom to cook up your own meals too, using some of the veggies you've harvested if you want to. I thank Metka and her beautiful family for looking after us 😁

The farm is a gorgeous place, and the family are very welcoming and appreciative. The hours are exactly as described, leaving lots of free time to explore, and the tasks tend to vary from day to day. If you love nature, and are keen to learn more about organic farming, this place is truly wonderful! Thank you, Metka & family for hosting us. We really enjoyed our time on the farm and are very grateful for the experience. All the best and hopefully we'll visit again in the future 💚

Metka and Bogna have a beautiful family, they are very committed to the land, they always guided me very well in the daily tasks. We had lunch together from Monday to Friday, around 3pm and we only socialized at this time of day. I missed greater exchanges/experiences and socialization, but it was a place that brought me comfort in being, being, enjoying. I won't forget the sun that set between the mountains, behind the sea and Italy - and this same sun that woke me up, lighting up my face and waking me up to say: I double my love for the people and vegetables I was going to meet that day.

Mekta is a phenomenal woman who holds the entire farm together! Spent a month at this wonderful place. If your interested in the working of a farm look no further! Their kind, knowledgeable and willing to help as long as it doesnt disrupt working life. They have the volunteers in a dorm and provide a stocked up kitchen (for dinners). They are really well organized in terms of working hours and tasks and so the rest of the day is left to you . Definitely recommend:)

I enjoyed so much the experience in the farm. Metka is amazing, she organizes perfectly the working hours, takes time to explain how to do each task, she is very supportive in work and she cooks delicious meals for lunch. The atmosphere among the volunteers was very nice. Thank you for everything 🤗

The true, it was a great stay, I did know amazing people, I shared unforgettable moments and it was more time that I thought, for a logistic problem that Metka helped me to solve. She is a excellent person and very understandable. I did know the around villages, I did great walks with the other volunteers and we had a very nice relationship, definitely if I'll come back to Slovenia is a place that I would visit in a future a little further away 😉😅
