I had an unforgettable experience volunteering at the Whale Watching Base. I made great friends from the cafe/bar, other volunteers, housemates, roommate, and boat crews. Faial is a charming island with good people. It's quieter than the larger island but rich in culture, beautiful beaches, hikes & pools to explore. It's somewhat spread out, but taxis, rentals, bikes & scooters help. The job (scheduling tours, renting bikes & selling gear) was easy to learn. It was a perfect 1st Worldpackers trip. I was so sad to leave but so grateful for the lasting memories & friendships. Thank you, Peters!

It was my first time volunteering with Worldpackers, and I honestly couldn't have imagined a better experience! I worked at the whale watching center, and it was absolutely unforgettable. The job itself was simple, but I learned so much every single day about the ocean, the boats and the animals. What touched me the most was the people: so kind, generous, and attentive. I felt truly welcomed. I also made amazing connections and shared meaningful moments with the people from the Café and the other volunteer. Thank you so much :))

Volunteering at the host's Cafè the host has been an unforgettable experience, and it's hard to find the right words to describe everything. Personally, I've worked in the bar during the beginning of the high season, so I had a bit of time to learn and practice. But it was not just about the work itself; very luckily I got to know amazing colleagues that made me feel good from the first day and we've created a fantastic group to go out after work. This combined with the other volunteers from the Whale Watching concurred to create one of the best volunteering experiences of my life!

I had an amazing time at the host's! This was my very first worldpackers experience and I wouldn't have wished it any other way. Everyone was super friendly and welcomed me with open arms which made it so much harder to leave! The working tasks were very easy and I had a lot of time to explore Horta and Faial which are just truly beautiful. Thank you to everyone who made my stay so perfect! I can't wait to come back!
