The Experience
Leatherback breeding season is approaching, help us save this endangered species. We need your help to clear the beach of wood, plastic and anything else that might prevent the turtles from moving along the beach to lay their eggs. At night you may have the chance to witness this magnificent spectacle with a local guide. The observation of the turtles is not systematic. It depends on the weather, tides and other fatcors.

The community was amazing! Roberto and his team are so welcoming you feel at home all the time! The work is hard but it is very nice, the place is amazing, you get in so much contact with nature and animals 100% would recommend

This was my first Worldpackers and it was such a fun time! Everyone is so friendly and we all worked beautifully together. Cleaning up the beaches, collecting coconuts, painting a boat, and more; all the work was flexible and the girls made it a fun experience overall. I speak very little spanish so talking with Roberto and other spanish speakers helped me gain more confidence and understanding for my learning of the language. Roberto is the best! LalalalalalaπΆ Ciao for now! Will most definitely come back for a longer stay:)

Volunteering at the community has been an incredible experience! Roberto shows us around the place with passion, and helps us with our morning tasks. Even though he doesn't speak much English, he always takes the time to explain and exchange with us. I'm glad I was able to contribute and learn so much about this sustainable way of life. I'd recommend this experience to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature with locals and build beautiful friendships !

I had such an amazing time at the community, I wish I could have stayed longer! Everyone was so welcoming I instantly felt comfortable. Roberto is an amazing host, he was constantly looking for ways to make our experience better whether it be having fresh coconuts to crack for us after working or looking for animals to point out for us. Truly a life changing experience, a little piece of the community will always be in my heart.

For a rejuvenating escape from the daily hustle, a stay of 1 or 2 weeks at this location is truly delightful. The abundance of nature adds to its charm, making it an ideal spot for a brief getaway from the usual urban chaos. I wholeheartedly recommend it for such short stays. However, for longer durations, boredom might set in as activities are limited to hostel lounging or beachside relaxation; swimming in the ocean is restricted. Nevertheless, the overall experience remains positive, making it a great choice for a shorter retreat.
