I spent 2 nice weeks at Monika's and her familiy's farm with my boyfriend. Everyone was really welcoming and helpful, the tasks weren't really hard and Monika always gave precise instructions. It was a good, enjoyable first volunteering experience for us :)

Wow, what a wonderful first Worldpackers experience!!! From the moment I got there I was welcomed with open arms and felt how much care goes into the farm and its volunteers. Monika teaches all you need to know and the hours were fully respected. The hard work was repayed with Monika's outstanding hospitality - be warned: her cooking is the best! I loved joining for deliveries or dog walks as well as visiting the neighbouring farm or the family BBQ. Monika, I cannot thank you enough for such valuable, meditative experience with some amazing animals and amazing people. I hope to be back 🥰

I had a great stay at Monikas farm! The location was beautiful and the work was very well organised. We did the farm picking and weeding, either in the morning or split between the morning and afternoon and we got 1 day off per week. Monika was very hospitable and always made an effort to connect with every volunteer! We had a lot of free time which was mostly spent hiking, walking the dogs or going into the local town. I'd highly recommend this stay!

I spent two lovely weeks at Monikas farm and had a wonderful time there. Tasks were mainly the farm picking and weeding. The work starts early in the morning, and there's loads of free time to explore the surrounding area. Communication with Monika was great and she puts in a lot of effort to give volunteers a great experience. She happily includes you in activities like dog walks, barbecues, the farm deliveries and going for ice cream or sunset watching. I highly recommend this experience to be surrounded by beautiful nature, meet cool people and help a wonderful family out on their farm🫶

Monika, Ure, and Philip are so kind, welcoming, and helpful. The tasks are the same every day (4.5 hrs): picking raspberries and weeding. It's not hard work. Be punctual and productive. Monika is super organized, communicative, and timely. The weather is unpredictable, bring both long and short sleeves. The space for volunteers is spacious and comfortable, with a maximum of 2/bedroom. You'll need to prepare your own food most of the time, but everything you need is provided. There are many walking paths near the farm, and Monika will include you in her walks and activities. Recommended!

Lovely experience 🫶 I had a great time at the farm, would definitely recommend it! I was able to visit Ljubljana, Celje, Velenje and Vojnik. Monika was very supportive with giving rides and ideas for daytrips/freetime. She also organised some activities for the volunteers like breakfast at a nearby farm or sunset-watching with ice-cream. For work, i was doing the farm picking & weeding mostly, it is physical work of course but not too hard :-) Volunteers have their own "flat" with kitchen, bed room(s), living room, bath room apart from the family's home, all well organised. Hvala :-)

I spent a wonderful 2 weeks picking raspberries at Monika's farm! The host went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed - you truly are a part of the family. It's a great opportunity to meet other volunteers from all over the world, and Slovenian locals as well! Definitely recommend getting out for some hikes in the surrounding hills and going on deliveries with Monika to see the whole the farm process! Monika is very easy to communicate with and happy to help you maximize your stay - like when I said I had never made jam before she was more than happy to teach me - hvalla!! :)

I had the most incredible 2 weeks on Monika's farm, I learned a lot about farm life and specifically all the work and logistics that go into a (small) production farm. Monika was an amazing host and involved us volunteers in so many fun local activities. She was very accommodating for whatever we needed and she was respectful of our free time! I can't recommend this experience enough ❤️

If I could give this experience more than five stars, I would. With this being my first WorldPackers experience, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but Monika, Jure, and Filip made me feel so at home, and they included us volunteers in plenty of activities outside of weeding the fields (among many others, visiting the Celje castle, walks around the neighborhood, hosting a family barbecue, and setting up a chocolate fountain). The care and kindness Monika puts into her job as a host really shines through. If I could stay forever I would—hvala again for a wonderful two weeks!!!🐈‍⬛🐓🏔️

This is a good opportunity to connect with nature and have a local experience. Since there were not many raspberries yet, we mostly weeded and did odd jobs around the farm. We worked anywhere from 1-5 hours per day. The family is welcoming and invited the volunteers to join in barbecues, hikes, etc. Monika was a great cook! My favorite part was joining the neighboring family for lunch on her farm. There is time to chill, read, relax during the middle of the day. I recommend going to the Logar valley for a day off as it was one of the most amazing sights I've seen.
