After some hectic months, the lodge was just what I needed. The peaceful vibe, beautiful landscape and work with the animals made it an unforgettable experience. A big thanks to the whole team for being so great. They made me feel at home and helped me improve my spanish. There was also a few downsides tho. The planning was a bit chaotic. It was also unfortunate that there weren't any working bikes, which made it hard to do stuff since most things were too far away to go by foot. At times, it felt a bit isolating. Still, it was an overall beautiful experience and I recommend it a lot :))

From the beginning it was the perfect place to rest and take a break from travelling. the staff and other volunteers, from the very beginning went out of their way to make sure i have everything i may need to enjoy my stay. the highlight of my stay was definitely looking after and working with the animals but also meeting some amazing other volunteers who made my stay unforgettable. however some small negatives: the workload was not well distributed between the volunteers and unclear at times, as well as the agreed free days and bicycles were not as described in on WP.

It's been a great experience! All the hotel staff are absolutely lovely. You immediately feel at home and part of the team. Also, I particularly liked the autonomy and routine of the work. The presence of another volunteer at some point made the stay more entertaining and memorable, as did meeting other travellers passing in the hotel. The possibility of going on excursions is a huge plus. Experiencing The Payunia was incredible. Thank you to every member of the hotel, I hope to come back one day.

Volunteering at the lodge was everything it promised to be and more. I wanted a time-out from my longterm travel and I found a peaceful, beautiful place to calm down and recharge. Working and being with the animals was absolutly wonderful and helped me a lot. We went horseback riding a lot and learned about how to train and care for the animals. Working in the garden tought me a lot about organic farming and no-waste-policy. Even tough I searched for relaxation, it was so nice to gather around, eat, drink and sing/play together with guests and workers. I really loved it there, thank you!

A creative place, made unique by the warmth and helpfulness of the people there. Taking care of dogs, chickens and the horses were at the forefront of my activities. Our host explained a lot about the natural processes on site, the non-violent, patient handling of the animals, the water supply, composting and much more. Questions were gladly answered at any time by the lovely team. I also found the cooperation with the other volunteers very enriching. I was also patiently supported in my efforts to improve my Spanish. The incredible starry sky rewarded us for our work every evening. Gracias!
