I really enjoyed my time in Agaete, there are hiking trails nearby and its close to the sea. The tasks are, cleaning bedrooms, common areas and checking in the guests. It was flexible to organize the workdays with the hosts and other volunteers, Eduardo and Iraya were pretty responsive in replying to a phone call/ message if there was any problem or uncertainty. It was a great oppurtunity to improve my Spanish. Sometimes it felt like there was a lot of work to do, for example one week I was doing more work than agreed, but the last week I did less hours. So overall it was all good.

The village of Agaete is soo quite and unique. The working tasks are easy, I was working 2 days 8 hours and 1 day 4 hours (in a week) so you will have 4 days off :) and you can change the shift by agreeing with the other volunteers if you want. Was a nice experience. the guest house is really a beautiful place to stay.

It was my first volunteering experience in a hostel, on Worldpacker, and it was a great journey for me ! The house is located in the heart of the village of Agaete, where you will meet many locals. It's a perfect place if you love hiking with the tamadaba national park next to the village. About the house and the tasks, i was working with 3 others volunteers for a small hostel it's an easy and chill work without pressure at all. The owners are the kindest people in the island, even if they are not present every day, there is a good communication with them by messages and phone calls !

My first Worldpackers experience was fantastic, it exceeded my expectations by far. I learned a lot and left there with a full heart. Eduardo and Iraya are kind people, they treat you like family. I was there during the low season and despite some busier days, I had lot of time to explore the peaceful village of Agaete, hike the trails around, and relax by the sea. The house is beautiful, you can really feel the tranquility and family atmosphere.
