What you offer

Hours per week: Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

The Experience

Pucón es uno de los pueblos mas bellos del sur de Chile, parques naturales, volcanes y playa son solo algunos puntos altos, recibiendo turistas de todo el mundo. El trabajo es en turnos rotativo, por lo que dependiendo de tus habilidades y gustos nos podrán ayudar en recepción, preparando habitaciones y/o desayunos. Personalmente viví la experiencia como voluntaria en Europa por lo que intento que nuestros voluntarios se sientan acogidos.

Unfortunately I wasn't comfortable at all, there was a very cool and distant vibe, but I decided to give it a good try anyway. But it didn't get better. First, the hours are very bad, you work in the morning and the afternoon leaving only time in between to run some errands or take a nap, not to do anything else. Second, after 5 days of working I would "probably" have a free day. Third, sometimes I would just stand around because there was nothing to do, other times I was asked to clean 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms in 1 hour.

Suddenly leaving without communicating any issues and posting a one-star review is not fair, especially when everything offered was delivered. Regarding the day off, I wrote "to be confirmed" because there was no volunteer for that day, and I was planning to ask if working that day for 3 days off was acceptable. The cleaning situation on your last day was a misunderstanding, finally you were instructed to do 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. We now see the importance of carefully reviewing backgrounds.

Una experiencia inolvidable y bella, Leslie es una muy buena anfitriona e increíble persona, Aprendí sobre manejo del hostel aplicaciones , nos explicaba todo con detalle , muy organizada con respecto a tiempo y horarios de las tareas a realizar, quedando así también tiempo para conocer diferentes lugares de la zona. Que es muy hermosa y sorprendente!!! El hostal es Un lugar muy cálido y acogedor, compartiendo con otros voluntarios , donde conoces y te adentras a diferentes culturas. Muy agradecida de todo corazón, gracias Leslie por brindarme tanto!!!

Estuvimos 2 semanas, las tareas son muy sencillas, los horarios cómodos para tener tiempo de conocer los alrededores, Pucón ofrece mucho! El hostal es super comod, los nfutriones amables y podes conocer a otros viajeros voluntarios y huéspedes de todo el mundo. Gracias Leslie!!

Mi experiencia en el hostel no podría haber sido mejor, me sentí como en casa; Leslie y su familia están siempre pendientes de ti, las acitividades a realizar en el hostel son sencillas y al ser pocas horas tienes las posibildad de turistear y conocer los alrededores, una excelente experiencia que sin duda la disfruté 😁.
