What you get

The Experience

The volunteer can help 6-8th grade students (11 - 14 years old) in developing English speaking or writing skills and learning drawing, painting, dancing, playing a musical instrument, playing sports, yoga, martial arts etc with the help of mutually designed workshops. There are total 59 students in 6th to 8th classes where I teach Science and Maths.

Vikas is both a knowledgeable and respectful host. He was able to answer all of my questions and was as well interested in my own culture and ways of understanding life. He lives with his parents and provided me with a bedroom and washroom. He made sure I was always feeling okay and showed me around the area apart from the the school. the the school is located 25 minutes by car above DLS (where Vikas lives) and has beautiful landscape. The children are amazing and participate actively in any activity that you propose. They are eager to learn, used to volunteers and very happy to have you there!

This was one of the best experiences I ever had. I had so much fun and the kids are amazing, everyone is just so nice and welcoming. The host (Vikas) is an amazing human being and tries to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Their english is not so good, so everything you are able to teach them will make you feel very proud. This experience will make you want to go back again.

From the day I arrived I felt so welcomed by Vikas and his family, and the children at the the school were so intelligent and sweet, it was an amazing experience to teach English here, we had delicious food every day and went out for day trips to the mountains and I met his group of lovely friends, it was an amazing experience and I'd recommend coming here if you want to experience true Indian culture

Volunteering with Vikas is a unique opportunity to know Indian people and culture. The children of the school are so lovely, pure and funny. Had great times with them. The family, the house and the food are also amazing. Furthermore, Vikas is a very good person, that always wants to help, showing touristic places and making things feel comfortable. 100% recommended!

Isabella is a kind, honest and spiritual person. She has a good ability to develope connection in a short span of time. She taught students some Yoga and helped them in English speaking. I appreciate her enthusiasm, active participation in every assigned task and willingness to give or deliver more than received.
