First volunteering experience and it was great. Valérie was super nice and supportive, everyday she texted us with the daily tasks (light work) which lasted between 3-4 hrs. the hostel is a very beautiful town with nature all around, the house is located within 10mins of most places in the hostel. During low season the dorm is very calm and lonely, when high season start the dorm is always full. I will forever remember my stay with Valérie!

Valerie is an amazing host. First of all, she accepted my application instantly. 🤭 She is very kind, polite and treated me with respect. the hostel is simply beautiful. For those who like the sea and hiking, it is perfect. The property is small. If you are the kind of handy person who knows how to da little bit of everything and add something different to the property other than just cleaning, you will be welcome. There is only room for one volunteer. I hand-sewed curtains for the bunk beds myself. Now you will have privacy in bed. 🤭

I enjoyed my time here and made friends with the other volunteers. The town is lovely with lots of energy and access to beaches and hikes. I did find it hard to understand what I had to do because I don't speak French and felt things could have been more organized. The volunteers have a big role being the only ones doing housekeeping so experience is really important. My main concern was the dorm being shared with guests, this created issues with me and the other female volunteers when older men would stay as it felt unsafe with some making weird comments. Age limit would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, my experience was not as expected. The host was often rude and did not make me feel welcome. Working hours were not always respected, instructions were unclear, and no proper cleaning tools were provided. There were also several logistical issues, such as laundry and bedding. the hostel is beautiful, but I decided to shorten my stay from one month to 10 days. The room was cramped for six people, the kitchen was inconvenient, and disruptive guest situations were not properly addressed by the host.

Volunteering at the hostel in the hostel is a peaceful experience, a way to get away from the big city and reconnect with nature. Just a short walk from the centre of the hostel, the house is beautiful, with a porch and a lovely swimming pool. Valerie, the owner, is kind and just strict enough about the work to be done. The only thing you need to know is that volunteers sleep in the small dormitory downstairs with the guests which can be a bit annoying if there are rude guests, but Valerie and Rudy are always willing to listen and help. A wonderful experience and thanks valerie for the kindness!

I was very well received by Valerie and her family. Valerie is very kind and polite. She was one of the nicest hosts I have ever met. My time in the hostel was very good, but as I went in winter it ended up being a little lonely, as I was the only volunteer there. But with the time off I managed to visit Marseille, which is a beautiful neighboring city. Working hours were respected and time off was also respected and the work was not heavy. The tasks are basically to maintain the cleanliness of the apartments upstairs and the hostel in general.

Let's get straight to the point. The work load is light, which gives you lots of free time to enjoy the surroundings. The city, the hikes and the beaches are stunning. Valérie is sweet and fun to work with. However, she was rarely there. I've only seen her 5 days out of the month I spent there. She would also take forever to answer messages, which was inconvenient during emergencies. Also, it can get boring at time when you are alone. If you want an immersive experience, I recommend looking elsewhere. Yet, if you wish for some time off to enjoy the city, this might be the job for you.

My stay in the hostel was positive. The city is small and peaceful. The offered room was good, the work was simple, and the hours were well respected. The work and meal system worked very well. However, throughout my stay, there was no internet, which may be an important consideration for some. Sharing the experience with another volunteer was crucial; I imagine being alone could become lonely and monotonous.

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel, location is great, you will stay in a 6 BR dorms by the pool. Super clean, great atmosphere, easy tasks related to housekeeper, cleaning, check-in as well. Be responsible, learn what needs to be done and everything will be great, after that you will have plenty of free time. VALÉRIE is super friendly, fair, and responsible, for instance if u need a particular day off she can manage that. You will practice English and of course French too. Fully recommended by me, Thanks Valérie for making my 7 weeks here just unforgettable !!! Merci. LOL
