I really enjoyed my stay in the farm! If you enjoy being surrounded by beautiful landscapes, horses and countless hiking trails, this place is for you! The working hours are respected and the workload was quite what I expected - a little bit in the morning and a little in the afternoon. There's plenty of free time between two shifts to go the village nearby or simply hike around in the area. The collaboration with both Mariana and Pedro was very good, they are nice and caring hosts! I hope to visit them again sometime soon 😊

I had a great time at the guest house! The working hours were flexible and at the beginning of the season we mainly had to do garden work :) Everyone is super nice and the nature is fascinating!

I was meant to spend 2 wks here but ended up leaving after 4 days! It says 25h a week but is more like 7. You are needed for 1-2 hours in the am and after that you are completely left alone. There is barely any interaction. I'm someone who likes to work so this made the days very tedious. The farm is beautiful but the closest village is a 2 hour walk away. I stayed in a caravan that was swarming with flies dead and alive. Mariana the host i found rude and aggressive and didn't hold back from yelling at her father about me thinking I couldn't understand. I felt uncomfortable start to finish.

Dear Pheobe , we are really sorry you didn't feel yourself at home , we try to receive all of you here the best we can. Is easy to understand that by reading all our reviews ,we receive everybody very well.
When the season starts we present our caravan clean decorated and cosy for all of you feel at home , we recommend to all of you that during your stay and before you leave, because the caravan is your space, that you maintain it clean exactly how you found it , we even have inside the caravan a list of rules for the caravan be in good conditions for the next volunteers if that don't happen is because some of you , and you wasn't an exception , leaves everything dirty and badly care.
We try to be kind and nice with you but we find you all the times with a arrogant look, you never follow what we ask to you , we ask you to cook in your place and instead you come to cook in our private place , the minimum that we could expect was that you leave everything clean what don't happen, you have in your space everything you need for your meals , for you drink a coffee to make a tea etc. instead of using your own you come to our place and take our things to your place , we have plenty of different kinds of food for you and we told what was yours and what was ours and instead of use your things or ask us something you could need, you pick ours without asking.
Mariana never speak badly to you even when she finish cleaning all the house floor and you enter with the rubber boots from the stables ( something we never do ) and leave all her work spoiled.
The main village is between 15 minutes to half and hour of walking to our place is always going down and we always offer a lift to coming back, it's seems two hours for someone that do everything in slow motion and doesn't like to move, most of the volunteers before you went to the village almost everyday take a coffee or just hanging out with other volunteers.
We think that you are nice person with love for animals but we think too that you need to work in your arrogant look and attitude with the others. Even our clients that just cross with you a few times comes to complain to us that you had a arrogant attitude with them.
We hope that the things work well for you next time in the different place. Life is exactly this be better learning with our mistakes.

This was my first volunteer experience and I really enjoyed it. Pedro and Mariana were welcoming and always made sure that I am well.As a volunteer you will sleep in a caravan in front of the house with enough space to fit everything, even for two people.Though the weather wasn't always that great, because I went in December, I still had a lot of fun caring for the horses and cuddling with the dogs.If you plan to visit in winter, I advise you to bring warm clothes and a sleeping bag because the caravan gets pretty cold at night. But you can enjoy the nature and get off the grid experience

It was my first trip ever and Mariana and Pedro were really amazing and welcoming. Before my stay, I had no knowledge of or experience in working with horses whatsoever, but both of them explained all the tasks very thoroughly, so that I could manage them on my own. Even when I made mistakes or struggled with the tasks, Pedro and Mariana were really understanding and patient with me. The location is very beautiful and remote. You can go on stunning walks in the nature. All the horses and dogs were super sweet and nice to work with. I really recommend staying here!

Mariana and Pedro, thank you for this experience, and for opening the doors of your house and your stable! A few weeks in nature, very quiet, ideal if you want to disconnect. The work is mostly in the barn, and it's a little bit in the morning and in the afternoon, but it's not a lot. The beautiful horses that I was able to get close to, are almost always free in the fields and we would go look for them when we need them. I had the opportunity a couple of times to go out on horseback rides and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Thank you Mariana & Pedro, and I hope everything continues great!

Amazing experience. Mariana and Pedro are fun, friendly, hospitable and welcome you in as family. The tasks are easy, I never worked the full 5 hours and had lots of free time. They are very accommodating if you are a reasonable and reliable person. For example they will take you by car to river or other places you want to visit on your free time (I had many hikes with stunning views). If you have more interest in some subject, they are happy to teach you more about it. Horses are well looked after and good to ride. Overall I really enjoyed my stay in the farm and would happily return again.

Pedro and Mariana are the best. They made me feel welcome, heard and appreciated. We had countless interesting talks or just silly laughter. I learned quite a few new skills there, for instance I now am able to ride a tractor thanks to Pedro. In general, this is an amazing place positioned beautifully right in the national park with great people. As long as you do your Job properly, are respectful, reliable, and with the right mindset, your time there will be lovely.
