I had a great time at the farm- Pedro, Mariana and Lise were all so lovely. They normally always have two volunteers as the farm is quite remote, but the other cancelled last minute - so they really tried their best to involve me in their lives and make sure I wasn't alone! The horses are all lovely and very well looked after, as well as 11 dogs and a cat as well. There are lots of nice walks in the area and the waterfall is amazing. Accommodation is in a caravan opposite to the house and stable and they provide food for you to cook in the caravan. I also had some riding lessons too!!

This was my first volunteer trip and it was fantastic! The host gets to know the volunteers a lot and tries to make sure they have everything they need. The farm is very cozy and there are lots of animals . The animals are in good condition and love to cuddle, especially the dogs. Some of the highlights I did apart from the farm was see ruins from a castle, two waterfalls, walks in the nature, go to cafe and visit their church. Sometimes you can also get a lift from the host. When it comes to the work, it is very easy and you get clear instructions and help with what to do.

I had a really good first volunteer experience at the farm! The whole family was always super nice to me and everyone was always willing to help. The work is very easy and simple once you get into the rhythm and the animals are all lovely and very well taken care of! You'll have a lot of free time to read, go to the waterfalls or the main town and just enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds the farm. I really hope I can someday go back to this place that brought me so much peace and happiness♥️

I had a lovely first volunteer experience with Mariana and Pedro! They take good care of the horses and the dogs. The caravan is really cozy and the working hours are good once you learn how things work. All the given tasks are really easy to learn especially if you are comfortable and confident when working with horses. The nature there is so beautiful and it's a perfect opportunity to escape from a busy city life! I'm already missing the place (and the dogs and the horses) and I really wish to be back one day <3

Being at the farm means surrounding yourself with beautiful untouched nature, many lovely animals and nice people! Pedro and Mariana are great hosts that do everything to make you feel comfortable&welcomed and you can ask/talk about anything. I enjoyed my time there a lot, being able to discover the surroundings during your free time. I never got bored even though it is pretty quite up there. The working hours are more than fine and I got to experience severe weather during my stay - first a lot of sunshine and in the end even snow😃I wish all the best for you and your horses 🫶🏽

I felt really welcomed in my 4 weeks at the farm. In april we had everything weatherwise: Tanning at the waterfalls with nearly 30 degrees and watching the snow fall from our cozy caravan. I am so grateful for the experiences and the friends I made. Would definitely recommend!!

I cannot recommend a volunteering experience more! Mariana and Pedro are incredible hosts, so understanding and welcoming. The hours are exactly as agreed and tasks were explained so clearly. There's a lot of free time but so much to do and Mariana and Pedro gave us loads of ideas and recommendations. I learnt so much, about horses and their care but also generally about kindness and responsibility. Thank you thank you thank you💞

I had a great time at Ecotoura! The caravan where i stayed was very cozy and had everything you need. The work included cleaning and feeding in the morning ( about 2-3 hours), feeding during the day (half an hour) and feeding in the evening (1 hour). There were also some extra tasks i had to do, e.g. sorting hay or walking horses out in the Mountains, which weren't hard but took some time. The horses and dogs were both really cute and well taken care of. Pedro and Lise were also helping with the work a lot, Mariana also helped when she had time.

You can tell that Mariana, Pedro and Lise are used to having volunteers, which is nice. They made sure to explain to me very well how everything worked. The area is stunning, the camper is cozy and the horses are cute and really well cared for. For me one of the only things that made my stay stressful at times were the unreliable work hours, sometimes we'd be asked to help with extra, urgent tasks very spontaneously, in addition to our daily ones. This would fx be catching a dog on the loose, and they don't like being on leash so it was hard. But if you're okay with that then no problem!

My time with Mariana and Pedro was very relaxing. I really appreciate how they treat their horses and dogs, you can see that they put a lot of love into it. Due to the busy season I didn't speak to them very much, but they did their best to make it as comfortable as possible for me. Lise is also a very hard worker with a lot of patience, with whom I felt very comfortable. If you go there I would definitely recommend you to bring some reading books and warm clothes. In the evenings it cools down a lot, I underestimated myself a bit.
