The Experience

Hello! We’re looking for independent and responsible people to help with structural work, painting, gardening, cleaning, and kitchen tasks. We share a peaceful countryside life with animals (dogs, hens, sheep, cats), and vegetables, and fruit trees. Meals and daily life are shared. We speak French, English, and Spanish. NO WORDS! Fantastic! In a romantic house, a fabulous garden, and like a French village from the movies, I had a profound experience. Alain, David, and Floriane are wonderful guests: welcoming, friendly, relaxed, and fun. I loved working in the garden and taking care of the house. Willing to explain the work to be done, they deeply respected my space and my time. I learned French humor, a chef's kitchen, and all their wonderful friends. For my first experience as a volunteer, I loved the three weeks I spent with Alain and David! A magnificent setting, a lovely room, interesting and always pleasant work with Alain (muscle building guaranteed!), David's tasty cuisine and above all an incredibly warm welcome. Alain and David are adorable, kind and caring... You feel right at home, with real moments of exchange and sharing, enriching and even funny discussions, great encounters: Fabrice, Elisa, Driss... David and Alain were so incredibly nice! They welcomed me into their home, and for the three weeks I was there, I truly felt like I was a part of their family. Their home is absolutely breathtaking, and the food was incredible. David prided himself on making as many new meals as possible, each one better than the last. This is definitely the place to be for any animal lovers; between the chickens, sheep, and of course the French bulldogs, there is always a furry (or feathery friend) not far away. Thank you for inviting me into your home and into your lives. I hope our paths cross again.

An unforgettable experience - the rural setting and warm hospitality of Alain, David, and Floriane - and meaningful work! Alain is such a positive and patient person to work with, and David is very open-minded and caring, Florian always shares great jokes and stories from her work. Also, love to Farah, Uli, Uta, Lili, Betty, Boop, and all the chickens. Last but not the least, like everyone else has mentioned, David is an incredible chef, you will miss the food so much after you leave....
