I spent 3 weeks at the project and it was an amazing experience. The organisation of the daily tasks and of the English class is really good, and the team (Lao and international team ) is so so welcoming and friendly! The kids are always really cute and I enjoyed to have a positive impact on their education. Thank you as well for the delicious food !! 😍

As all the other reviews say this experience was truly amazing and I thank everyone involved with Sae Lao who made my experience what it was. I stayed 3 weeks and I wish I could have stayed more as I feel it is beneficial to the children! This opportunity allows you to meet many different people from all around the world and is just a fantastic WorldPacker experience. If you are hesitant or this is your first world packer experience please don't worry as I think this is one of the best experiences going around!!!

Sae Lao is an absolutely beautiful project. Peter, Steven and the Lao team have my whole heart - some of the most kind and amazing people. Accommodation in the team dorm and 3 meals a day is very reasonable for the extra fee. You will fall in love with the scenery of this beautiful country and you will not want to leave your wonderful little class! Everything decided up (hours, etc) was respected and this opportunity is an amazing way to meet other international friends as well as interact closely with Lao locals and culture. Truly had some of the best 2 weeks of my life!!

I truely had an incredible experience at Saelao. Peter runs a fantastic volunteer program to help local children learn english for free. I was privileged to volunteer for 2 weeks and I made great connections with the students, although there was a language barrier we communicated through laughter and games. Peter is so friendly and helpful, he has great team of people there to welcome you. I would hate to leave anyone's name out of my thank you's because the entire SaeLao team is so special. I felt at home there for 2 weeks in the beautiful oasis.

An awesome experience to be a part of as a backpacker! It was great to stop and get to know one place and community for a while. Pretty well organised but with so many volunteers structure is needed for those who can't independently teach or live together. A really beautiful village to stay in with so many activities nearby. The children at the school will stay in your heart forever.

The experience within the Sae Lao association was an incredible experience. All of the association's teams were attentive and available throughout my stay. The guesthouse was very comfortable. The activities offered within the association were very nice and allowed us to meet a lot of people and create connections. The hours spent at school with the children were unforgettable for me. I recommend 100%!!!!!

Saelao it's a project that really aims to make a difference not only on the children we teach but also in the local community. We realise how much still needs to be done in Laos and how important is the education and the inter cultural exchange. When we hear the sentence " it all starts with education", you really understand why and how in this project. It's not always easy and at times it can bring a lot of frustration. But please don't miss the opportunity to make a difference even if it is only in one single child or in one single local. We can all add a lot here and leave with much more.
