The Experience

A beach front hostel in the Pacific Ocean with black sand beaches and a swimming pool. A great place for people to meet locals as well as people from all over the world. We are looking for fun energetic people who can make the place enjoyable for the guests and bring people together. Make sure that the bar and restaurant during the day or at night runs smoothly and make the guests feel welcome. Organize activities and have lots of fun :)

The hostel was truly one of my best experiences to date. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. It suits everyone, if you enjoy the water, and a party it's perfect. Not many places provide 3 meals a day, and with the discounts on top of this you're so well fed. The partner hostel network is also incredible. Will 100% return 💖

I had an amazing month at the hostel. I made friends for life, and memories that I will cherish forever. It is quite a few hours of work a week, but the work is very easy and most of the time very fun. The managers and owners will listen to you if you have anything you need help with or anything that needs to be fixed. You work and live in an absolute paradise, right on the beach. I would say it is definetly a big advangtage to know spanish, as the kitchen ladies only speak spanish and some guests only speak spanish. The managers can help you translate if avaliable, or google translate.

If you need someone that gonna give the extra mile Connie is your girl. She was an amazing volunteer that helped above and beyond. Very organized, hard working and always with a great attitude. Definetly recommend her.

The work is hard and exhausting (36h a week). Food is good when there is. If you are coming be aware that you'll have to sleep near rat excrement, bugs and other animals, and use a toilet that hasn't been cleaned in ages. I also had problems communicating with the person in charge, after explaining my problems communication was impossible even regarding other topics.

I had the best time volunteering at the hostel and made great friends! This is a good place to go if you are looking to work hard but also party a lot. The work is demanding (6hrs 6days/wk) and it's mostly the hostel/restaurant but you also might be asked to do other DIY tasks. It can be busy but you are usually on shift with 2-3 others so it can be fun as well. It is a mix of day and night shifts. You don't have to cook or make any beds. the hostel hosts events each night, so if you like to party this is a great place. It's easy to make friends and socialize. Overall I definitely recommend :)

The hostel is a hell of a lot of fun, everyone is super welcoming and make you feel part of the family, you will party A LOT in your time here and your liver may hate you at the end of the month but you will make great memories. 6 hours a day 6 days a week is a lot but the work is easy and fun. They will feed you extremely well, free surfboards, ridiculously good discounts on alcohol and surf lessons. The accomodation is far from the best but I still 100 % recommend the hostel if you want to have a super fun month on the beach. I will definitely miss the place and the people ❤️
