The host family is very welcoming and open. The parents both speak english and are happy to teach you some spanish as well. The place is very connected with nature, so you have to accept that sometimes there will be spiders and insects in your house (yes, we got a whole house for ourselves). We sometimes had to ask for work as the family didn't want to overwhelm us. You can definitely speak to the host about the tasks you do or would like to do during your stay.

A experiência foi muito boa! É preciso se desapegar de certos confortos, o que em si já é um grande aprendizado proporcionado pela experiência. A carga de trabalho é tranquila e pude realizar atividades muito interessantes, como ajudar na colheita de mel. A alimentação é abundante, cheia de legumes e frutas produzidos no local! Aprendi muito sobre agricultura sintrópica e como ter uma vida em sinergia com a natureza. Obrigada, Mauri e família, espero encontrá-los de novo no futuro!

Foi uma experiência incrível.. Mauri e Jane nos receberam com muito respeito e nos deixaram muito a vontade. Foi o primeiro voluntariado que eu e minha esposa fizemos no Uruguai e não podia ter sido melhor, foi de encontro com o que buscávamos, aprendemos muito sobre permacultura, alimentos, vida sustentável e também tive a oportunidade de melhorar meu Espanhol, todos muito educados e atenciosos.. só tenho a agradecer ✨

Foi minha primeira experiência com um projeto sustentável e pude aprender muito! O Maurício e a sua esposa são muito receptivos, explicam as atividades e, principalmente, compartilham bastante sobre a agricultura sustentável e sobre uma forma de vida mais sustentável também. Recomendo muito essa experiência.
