Overall I had a good time here, but there are a lot of problems. Pros: a few other really really lovely volunteers, great location, easy work. Cons: you will work more hours than described. There is a compulsory meeting as well as additional compulsory tasks. A few of the people higher up in the system (it is a super hierarchical staff system) are very disrespectful, power-trippy, or inappropriate to the point of making other people very uncomfortable. It is very common to run out of money/food so you will have to buy your own food. ( <1 euro per volunteer budgeted for both brekky and lunch)

It's a really intense environment! there are lots of volunteers and guests to connect with, fun&cheap parties, free dinner&breakfast, opportunities to level up, good location, good energy, lots going on ALL THE TIME (be careful not to burn out) the experience could be organized better tho: you keep learning random shit all the time as you go, instructions aren't always very clear, the volunteers dorm (urban) can't be healthy to live in and so on. but then again, it's managed mostly by volunteers, can't fault them too much. give it a try, maybe you'll find a home, a family, yourself 🫶🏻🐘

The place is welcoming, well-located, and full of like-minded travelers. Everyone's open to meeting new people and conversations happen naturally all the time. It's a great spot to practice your English if you want to! The managers are fun, communicative, and the vibe is truly one of a kind. If you enjoy people and partying, you'll feel at home and have an amazing time.

Great place if you like to socialize and party hard! The working hours could be 30 instead of the agreed 25 but overall a great experience.

My time at the hostel was truly memorable! Volunteering there is full of fun and social interaction—both with the team and the guests. It's a great spot for meeting people and enjoying lively nights. That said, the daily tasks often extended beyond the expected hours, which left less time for personal activities or exploring the city than I had hoped. Still, it's a vibrant and welcoming environment, perfect if you're looking to switch off and enjoy a social atmosphere!

The guests and all the volunteers were amazing people! The main tasks were pretty much as expected, but my issue was that we had meetings every day, even on days off. So, during my first week, I didn't really get my proper days off. Also, it might not seem like a big deal, but there were extra tasks to do every day, so in the end, being at the hostel took up more than 25 hours per week. If you don't mine your's days off and you like party and alcohol it's your place. But if you plan to travel in your day off your first week it would be imposible and I think you need to know it.

You'll work more then you expect to. 25hr/ week is listed which covers only your shift (which often runs longer). It's mandatory to sign up for other tasks for the hostel. I ended up doing one of these every other day. You'll have to go to a daily staff meeting, even on “free days”. The dorm isn't very comfortable, and one of them has no storage or a lockable door. I got sick here and it wouldn't go away so I had to leave early. You'll be pressured to party every night. The parties are fun, the pressure was annoying. Met some truly great people, 32+ hours would be more accurate for work :)

The wild the hostel is a really fun place to volunteer! A big plus is the people, guests and fellow volunteers, with which is really easy to interact and also make new friendships. The hostel is a really social one, and is mainly about partying and drinking, so be "aware" of that if you don't feel comfortable in these kind of situations, even though I would recommend you to try it out.

The experience is really nice because of the people and the friends that you meet there.! About the food is not that great but you have breakfast and dinner for sure. They have this horrible and unnecessary meeting at 6 pm every single day even if is your day off, what is really annoying because you cannot really explore the city after your shifts, or, what was my plan.. go to Vienna or Budapest. I think that even the managers hate it 😅 It's a good place to meet people and have fun.! But I don't recommend it if you are not a social person or you get tired of the party soon

Hey Carolina! We were very happy to have you in the time that you were here. We're sorry you didn't enjoy our daily meetings - we certainly do! We love sharing important information, seeing everyone's faces, and receiving feedback from y'all about your daily experiences! We are also happy to excuse volunteers if they speak to a manager, we just ask that they hang around the first week or so, so they can acclimatize to the city and hostel. Nevertheless, safe travels! Stay hydrated and stay Wild!
