My time at the hostel was truly memorable! Volunteering there is full of fun and social interaction—both with the team and the guests. It's a great spot for meeting people and enjoying lively nights. That said, the daily tasks often extended beyond the expected hours, which left less time for personal activities or exploring the city than I had hoped. Still, it's a vibrant and welcoming environment, perfect if you're looking to switch off and enjoy a social atmosphere!

A really nice experience, volunteers should be able to hold alcohol, cos they have crazy parties

The guests and all the volunteers were amazing people! The main tasks were pretty much as expected, but my issue was that we had meetings every day, even on days off. So, during my first week, I didn't really get my proper days off. Also, it might not seem like a big deal, but there were extra tasks to do every day, so in the end, being at the hostel took up more than 25 hours per week. If you don't mine your's days off and you like party and alcohol it's your place. But if you plan to travel in your day off your first week it would be imposible and I think you need to know it.

You'll work more then you expect to. 25hr/ week is listed which covers only your shift (which often runs longer). It's mandatory to sign up for other tasks for the hostel. I ended up doing one of these every other day. You'll have to go to a daily staff meeting, even on “free days”. The dorm isn't very comfortable, and one of them has no storage or a lockable door. I got sick here and it wouldn't go away so I had to leave early. You'll be pressured to party every night. The parties are fun, the pressure was annoying. Met some truly great people, 32+ hours would be more accurate for work :)

The wild the hostel is a really fun place to volunteer! A big plus is the people, guests and fellow volunteers, with which is really easy to interact and also make new friendships. The hostel is a really social one, and is mainly about partying and drinking, so be "aware" of that if you don't feel comfortable in these kind of situations, even though I would recommend you to try it out.

The experience is really nice because of the people and the friends that you meet there.! About the food is not that great but you have breakfast and dinner for sure. They have this horrible and unnecessary meeting at 6 pm every single day even if is your day off, what is really annoying because you cannot really explore the city after your shifts, or, what was my plan.. go to Vienna or Budapest. I think that even the managers hate it 😅 It's a good place to meet people and have fun.! But I don't recommend it if you are not a social person or you get tired of the party soon

Hey Carolina! We were very happy to have you in the time that you were here. We're sorry you didn't enjoy our daily meetings - we certainly do! We love sharing important information, seeing everyone's faces, and receiving feedback from y'all about your daily experiences! We are also happy to excuse volunteers if they speak to a manager, we just ask that they hang around the first week or so, so they can acclimatize to the city and hostel. Nevertheless, safe travels! Stay hydrated and stay Wild!

The hostel is good for guests, but as a volunteer it wasn't a good experience. I felt lost in the beginning and I wasn't well received by the person in charge when I arrived. Informations were not clear, I needed to discover things by myself. The food wasn't as the description, with only 1 euro per person for breakfast and lunch, what wasn't enough. The volunteers room was dirty and dark. Working hours exceeded what was agreed with mandatory extra tasks and a meeting every day (including days off). Also, I think it is absurd not being allowed to leave the city in 2 weeks. That's why I left.

Hey Rhayrem! We're sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Our volunteers are more than welcome to ask questions at any time, and are even given a training shift specifically to do so. The food money is given daily to do a group shop, which stretches quite a ways, in addition to a home-cooked dinner. Volunteers can be excused from the meeting if they speak with a manager, although we do ask that you join in the social atmosphere of the hostel. Nevertheless, safe travels!

TWE is a place like no other, or at least I hope so! A place where everything is weird, so everything is normal. A place where anyone can be themselves and feel comfortable. A place to make many friends and potentially more than that. A place that opens you up and makes you more confident. A place run almost entirely by volunteers. It's because of these reasons that everyone says that there's something that makes you want to stay for longer, as it feels like a home, and the people feel like family. We're all different, but once you get accustomed, we seem the same, in a good way. Thank you.

I had amazing time in the hostel in Bratislava !! :) It's a great place to meet new people and have fun. There's parties and activities for every day you can join or host. The work was pretty simple and easy. And the people are lovely and welcoming. Wish I could stayed longer! <3

I stayed and worked at Wild the hostel. I had such an amazing time and was able to meet so many great people who i will not forget. The work was easy but could be tedious at times and they did expect you to work faster than you would expect them to. The staff room wasn't always the cleanest space due to myself and other volunteers not always keeping it as tidy as we could, and it got a bit crammed near the end of my stay but it is something you adapt to very fast and learn to love having so many friends near you at most times. And boy oh boy do they know how to party!!
