The Experience
Hello everyone. We are a family of five - Dusko, Ljubica-Lily, Petra, Mara and Djurdja.We have 4 dogs and cat.We live in a village near Skadar Lake. We are the owners of a guest house which has 6 rooms,restaurant where we offer homemade food(from our garden) and drinks and camp side.Guests will be able to enjoy activities in and around Rijeka Crnojevića, like cycling, kayak rental, boat tours, walking tours in the beautiful nature of the lake.

The whole family was lovely and especially Lily, she had me as a part of her family from the arrival. The hours were respected and the tasks are not so organized but it will be easier if you consider it's your family and house. Then, you'll find what to be done and of course you can ask if there is anything specific to do, they are always there to help you. You will be surrounded by nature and it's beautiful that I can't imagine during the summertime!

Lili was very nice and welcoming throughout the whole 2 weeks. Hours were agreed upon the night before, either chosen by lili or amongst ourselves. Everyone works the weekends as its the busy time for the guest house. The rooms are cute and changeovers are easy. You meet lots of locals as they come to drink at the weekend. Everyone loves the boat trips and although we didn't have time to go on one, i would surely recommend. Lili let's you borrow kayak aswell in your free time. 😀

The guest house is in the most beautiful location and Lily welcomed us in to her family. We were living in our van on site, other volunteers seemed to stay between the house and village so not as social as other experiences. Food money was given and we cooked for ourselves. Tasks were varied and had to use initiative to find things sometimes, mostly cleaning. We had a good stay and Lily is super friendly and kind.

It was my first experience as a volunteer, and I am very grateful to Lili ,dusko and her family for their patience, the opportunity, and for sharing their home with me… I took away a beautiful experience. What stood out was their great patience despite my learning English 🫶🏼☺️ I met two other travelers, which made everything very nice. I had several rainy days due to the winter, but it helped me rest 😴 Thank you so much, I wish you all the best for what's to come, and I hope to see you soon 🫶🏼 God bless you.

This experience has been amazing.I found a wonderful place in Montenegro where my son and I were warmly welcomed.From the first moment, the family made us feel part of their home, always attentive to our needs. I definitely gained a new family here! I learned about cooking and the internal management of a hotel,skills that I truly value.I enjoyed spending time with the girls, especially with Djurga, the baby. Additionally, I made great friends and we explored beautiful places together.Thanks to this wonderful family for welcoming us.We will always keep you in our hearts.
