The Experience

This program's mainly focused on practicing speaking English and exchanging culture among local Koreans and also with volunteers from overseas. I believe that the best way to fully explore a certain country or a city is to actually bond and build a friendship with locals and that is what we locals here are excited to do!! We are trying to make an environment where everybody can join the conversation. Thank you for your interest in our project.

The opportunity is amazing. The amount of work is very little, the students are so nice and the location of the accommodation is amazing. Though it can be a lot of people to live with but that s the deal and it s also a great experience.

This was a very nice volunteering experience. The work is very relaxed, with enough time to explore the city. You get in touch with many locals and learn about Korean culture and everyday life. Everyone I met was friendly and kind. The apartment is in a great location, which is a big plus. However it's not a luxury stay. You sleep in bunkbeds that can be quiet noisy and not very stable. And the apartment is shared with around 11 other people, which can feel crowded sometimes. All in all, despite the simple living conditions, the experience was worth it and I had a great time.

The Language the coliving and the apartment are very well located. Jongno is a district that has everything: restaurants, bars, palaces, temples, and tourist attractions. Volunteering at the language the coliving is a great experience and it's only 3 hours a day, which allows volunteers to have plenty of free time to explore the city. The only downside is that the apartment has just one bathroom.

I spend an amazing time in Korea with all my apartment mates and the people I met in the caffe. The work is quite easy and it allows you to stay in touch with natives and discover some cool places to go. the coliving staff had a Christmas party an it was such a good event! However, you have to be ready to share room and know how to co-live with other people, otherwise you will struggle a bit. Anyway, that was a huge opportunity to overcame my fears for talking in my second language and for being in a foreign country far from home. I'd do it again !!

I highly recommend applying for the coliving. I had an amazing experience here! I loved chatting with locals and helping them improve their English. I also made friends with other volunteers. You are guaranteed to have a great time (:
