I had one of the best experiences in Shuzenji, it felt like home. This was my first experience as a volunteer, and I highly recommend it! I found a second home here, I am very fortunate to have met you. ぜったい戻ります。 Thank you, Ryohey and Jamie, for always being awesome, funny, and supportive ❤️ I never felt lonely in Shuzenji. The nature is beautiful and I will really really miss my time in the onsens ♨️ and the soft ice cream, and the wasabi, omg the wasabi so fresh 🗾 if I close my eyes I still can taste it... big thank you also to the girls! you're the best ✨

A completely warm, playfull, calm and endearing experience. Shuzenji is a small but full of nature with relaxing onsen, great stores (get Tapioca and then go to the "Boss" Shop) and kind people. Ryohey and Jamie were very kind, supportive, funny and made me feel at home. The other volunteers I stayed with made my expericene so magical. I wish you the best Cris and Nitsan! <3

A great place to stay if you like outdoors and a slow lifestyle! The small town allows you to experience a range of cultural activities from onsens to Temples with a great selection of local eateries. Shuzenji is a train ride away from Mishima from where you can connect to other cities to discover the Peninsula ! Ryohey and Jamie were great to work for , work is easy for the most part - the only thing I would say, that it really depends on the people you work with and live with, as You will live in a house with 2 other female roommates. I had the best time ! Thank you for having me ^^

I had a really nice experience! Volunteers get a private room in an apartment about 10 minutes walk from the hostel, so cleanliness depends on the people staying with. 7-Eleven is 7 minutes away, a big supermarket is 10 minutes by car, and Ryohey kindly took us shopping once a week. The area is very quiet — perfect for those seeking peace and a slower pace. Public transport isn't great and there's not much to do nearby, so plan ahead if you looking to travel. Thanks so much to the amazing girls I stayed with — love you all and miss you already!

I recommend it 100%!! I've had a fantastic, relaxed and peaceful month in Shuzenji. Both Jamie and Ryohey are lovely!! The town is beautiful but small and there isn't much to do, but with the bus, you can explore the Izu Peninsula. The schedule and the days off they offer are more than fair. Very grateful! 🙏🏽
