The hotel is a good place to meet other volunteers who come from elsewhere. The big negative point for me is that no one welcomes us when we arrive. It's the other volunteers who look for you and show you around the place. It's frankly a factory, I found that very unfortunate and I think it breaks the atmosphere that we are basically looking for: discovery and sharing. The work is hard, but the schedules are always respected, they are still very demanding with us. I would recommend the hotel just for the place with Arrifana beach.

The hotel truly provides everything you could possibly need. From an old car to bedding, food and surfboards(which aren't in perfect condition but usable), there isn't anything missing. I started out cleaning which could be a lot of work for 4 hours on some days. I enjoyed breakfast more, because of my previous experiences of working in gastronomy. Plus the reception and kitchen staff are so nice and always very helpful. Cleaning staff was nice as well but they spoke only spanish at times thus instructions weren't clear. I'm very grateful for this fun experience and the friends I made here :)

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel because of the group that was there at the time. Breakfast is pretty limited but there's always bread, ham and cheese and some other things which was nice. And I really appreciated having a car just for the volunteers to use. Surfings pretty difficult with 10 volunteers and just 2 boards but we made do and still had a lot of fun. The work was definitely not fun but was manageable and only 4 hour shifts with a 15 minute break so not too bad.

I had a great time at the hotel, if you want a more relaxing volunteering and surfing this is the place. That being said me and the other volunteers had the impression this would be more of a hostel vibe instead its a guesthouse where you do not interact with others. The volunteer group is always big of around 10 people and thats great, I got really close to all of them, but some people stay even just 1 week so its fast changing. The surfboards and wetsuits are not in great conditions. We had 2 surfboards which we made work and used others wetsuits, in general things can imporve but i was happy.

The hotel was a great experience. It's located near the ocean (5min drive) and the provided surf equipment still functions but isn't the best. Same goes for the new car we got. The work is easy and consists of cleaning. The cleaning ladies which help are super lovely. Shift is from 10:30-14:30. They provide breakfast the rest you need to buy for yourself. What made this experience unforgettable are the people which I met along the way. Thank you so much.

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and it most definitely won't be my last. I had an amazing time at the hotel, from getting to know amazing people and being able to go catch a sunset on the beach each day I couldn't be happier. The work is pretty simple and worth the accommodation they provide. I definitely recommend this experience !

My days in Aljezur were wonderful, every day was a new experience with mountains with incredible views, beach, sea and good energy. Connect with people from all over the world and form beautiful bonds. I take with me the best memories of Portugal, of the volunteer staff and of the incredible beaches throughout the Algarve. Thank you so much!

I stayed in Aljezur for 2 weeks and had a great experience! The people were nice and we've had more than enough free time to explore the village or go to the beach. You just have to know that the beach is like 45 minutes walking distance so you normally need to use the car to get there since most of the bikes are broken. The car looks and sounds like it's going to fall apart soon, but I was glad we've had it. The Pool was kind of greenish, so nobody really used it, but that's probably different when you're not here in Winter. All in all it was still great and I'd love to come back one day!

The host contains out of more than one people and they are all welcoming and the tasks and working hours were as expected. They lend us a car to drive to the supermarket and beach, which was cool and they are very open to answer any questions and give you advice about, what you could explore in the area.

I stayed in the Guesthouse for 3,5 weeks and had a great time, that was mostly because of the other volonteers though. The location is good, a hour walking distance to the beach (7min car ride)... The work is reasonable, mostly being maintance such as painting and helping the cleaning staff. The only "problem" is that the facilities aren't quite in tact. The car (some fuel is paid for) runs but markes noises, the shower leaks constantly; there are surfboards but only 3 truly work etc. I had a great time and you will probably aswell... Just don't expect too much
