The host Reynaldo was the one who interviewed me and accepted my application. He went on vacations and I didn't had the chance to get to know him. Rodrigo was the one in charge after a few days. I really appreciate the opportunity of staying there in a moment I was looking for a place to get back to volunteering while studying and working. I had the change there to stablish respectfully my boundaries and be self affirmative. I also had all the support of the Worldpackers team of experience when I needed which made things easier for me. I recommend talking with other volunteers who stayed.

I was hired quickly after the previous volonteer quit because of the awful conditions. When I arrived I was scheduled on the night shift straight and late morning the next day. There is 0 organisation. Everything is orally dictated by the 2 oldest volonteers or by podcast on whatsapp by the owner that pretend to be open to converstion but really isn't because after giving ideas for improvements 3 of us been quicked out by text of course! There is no table to eat on, the volonteer room is just matress and no space for stuff (I have pics). I should have left day 1 but got robbed at the beach ...

Em 2 anos com projeto de voluntariado com mais de 180 voluntários nunca tivemos uma experiência com tamanha falta de comprometimento por parte dos voluntários, acaba desanimando de fato ter que fala sempre as mesmas coisas sendo que tudo foi passado de forma transparente, temos checklist com as atividades, fizemos reunião presencial, mas o voluntário quer ser levado no colo, parece. Quanto o quarto dos voluntários, tem duas opções, ele pode dormir no quarto compartilhado com os hóspedes ou no salão Holístico em colchões super confortáveis, onde até então a maioria sempre preferiu ficar, questão de escolha, talvez esperava um quarto com cama de casal e ar condicionado, acho. Temos três áreas de refeição com mesa, acho que faltou conhecer o próprio local que estava voluntariando. Sobre o roubo, é uma infelicidade que pode ocorrer com qualquer pessoa em qualquer lugar do mundo, principalmente quando ela está com 8 mil reais no bolso passeando na praia, algo que não faz sentido. No mais, boa sorte em sua jornada, é o que desejamos sempre!

Saio do hostel com a certeza de que ganhei muito mais do que dei e com a esperança de um dia poder retribuir de alguma forma toda a bondade e generosidade que recebi. Desde o primeiro dia, fui recebido de braços abertos por uma equipe que não apenas me ensinou sobre hospitalidade, mas também me acolheu com uma generosidade e calor humano que vão além das palavras. Vocês não apenas me deram a oportunidade de contribuir com o hostel, mas também me proporcionaram momentos de aprendizado, crescimento e alegria que levarei para sempre em meu coração Gratidão, que Deus abençoe vocês !

Mi experiencia en the hostel fue buena . El horario es respetado y las tareas a realizar no son complicadas. El hostel se encuentra muy bien localizado pues está cerca a estacion de metro, mercados y playa. El equipo de voluntarios hace que la experiencia sea muy divertida😁 . Lo mejor es Vivi que trabaja en la limpieza del hostel , en ella encontré una buena compañía la cual extrañaré mucho. Muchas gracias por recibirme .

Tive uma ótima experiência no the hostel, fiz amizades pra vida . Os horários e tarefas são muuuito tranquilos, tudo dentro do combinado, Rodrigo e Reynaldo são bons anfitriões, onde todas as situações adversas foram resolvidas na hora com uma boa comunicação. Recomendo a experiência para todos aqueles que tem a mente aberta e querem aproveitar o rio fazendo amizades novas;)
