Hello Worldpackers! We are a team taking over an existing hostel in the city of Edinburgh, we need great people to join us and help us rebuild reputation! Over the years this place has lost it's charm and needs us to put it back on track. We are a fun and enthusiastic hostel with amazing staff. We can assure you if you join us that it would be nothing but a fun time.

This was my very first experience and it exceeded all my expectations. I came to learn English, and today I can confidently say I do. What was meant to be a one-month stay turned into six unforgettable months, thanks to the wonderful environment, meaningful connections, and many opportunities for growth. The tasks were not difficult, you just need to do them carefully. From beach outings to museum visits, walks, and local events, every moment was full of discovery and joy. A heartfelt thank you to Mica and Stéphanie, the managers, for their kindness and support throughout this amazing journey.

My review won't be different from other ones as it is not possible to say anything negative about this experience. It was my 1st time volunteering and I couldn't have chosen better place for it! I felt welcomed from the very beginning and quickly became part of the hostel family. Tasks were quite easy and quick so you could enjoy the rest of your day in the remarkable city. The whole community was simply brilliant and they made the experience that special. The team is always very helpful and communication is on top, which makes work much easier! Don't hesitate and go :)

I've immensely enjoyed my first volunteering experience at the hostel, and now I'm afraid it has set the bar too high. Before arriving, I wasn't sure I'd feel comfortable in such an unusual setup, but I got immersed in life there very quickly by meeting other volunteers during our shifts and joining their fun activities. Everyone was welcoming and happy to explain everything to me. Sharing a room wasn't a problem either, as the bed curtains offered privacy. The work itself wasn't too demanding, and even the physically tougher parts were fun because we got to do them together as a team.

This was my first hostel stay and my first time volunteering at a hostel, and it set the bar very high. The team was welcoming, supportive, and kind from the very beginning. This applied not only to the volunteers but also to the guests. I truly enjoyed my time at the hostel and have yet to find another place that compares. The work schedule was posted in advance so you always knew your shifts and days off. This made it easy to plan your time effectively. If you needed to switch shifts, it was possible, which added flexibility throughout your stay.
