The Experience

The primary role of our volunteers will be to help with the daily cleaning/changeover, which takes place between 11am-3pm. The on duty receptionist to be supervising/ assisting you. Cleaning toilets and what not... it's not very glamorous, but with many hands its also not very difficult!

When Sam and Gaja asked if I ever contemplated existence as a tree, I knew I had to apply. More than hosts, they were like brother and sister to me throughout my entire stay. I got into hiking and swimming, at their insistence. It is not just helping out at the hostel, they want everyone to experience the beauty that is Glencoe, a beautiful, idyllic village. The work was exactly what they said it would be, if not easier. I learnt a lot about working as a team and met some of the best people from all over the world. Words are not enough to describe my experience. I love you guys!

My experience with Sam and Gaja was truly amazing! They are two beautiful and gentle souls. Sam is amazing at suggesting places to explore, he is an expert mushrooms picker and his vibe is so peaceful and calming. Gaja is an amazing cook, she is a truly caring person and her vibe is so energetic. In terms of the work, it was easy and straight forward, nothing too hard to manage. The place, Glencoe, is a truly magical place. It's hard to explain it through words, but it is so magnetic, with its wonderful waterfalls, green hills, dense forests and melancholic weather. I miss it so much.

We had the best time volunteering here! Cleaning the hostel was not so hard and we had fun doing it all together! 💪🏼 We went for a swim in the river every day and brought guests whenever we could. We took this opportunity to go for hikes and managed to add Ben Nevis to our list! We loved the atmosphere and spent evenings by the fire, playing music and socialising. The people that this place attracts are AMAZING! We met dancers, MMA fighters, singers, magicians… the list goes on. We highly recommend volunteering here 🥰

This place is peaceful and fun at the same time. It's a beautiful immersion in Scottish nature.😍 I loved being with you, it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been! I was there in August and the weather was pleasant, the hostel is super comfortable and has a super equipped kitchen for volunteers. The managers are lovely and always on hand for our needs. I loved every day I was there, I hope to return soon! I recommend it 100%. It was an honor to be with you, thank you!✅️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
