The Experience

Hi, i run a building with touristic apartments in the lovely city of Granada, south of Spain. Is required cleaning from 11am to 15pm more or less, two days off very likely in a row so you can explore the cities nearby. Accomodation providen in an apartment, in the same building, with other volunteers. Private rooms for couple or friends.

We had a great time and we enjoyed work with the team. The only difficulty we encountered was understanding each other because they only speak Spanish, anyway the Host speaks multiple languages, but this allowed us to know a little bit of Spanish. The work wasn't so hard and we had a lot of free time. In this way we had the opportunity to visit Granada that we loved. There are many things to visit and you can live the Spanish lifestyle thanks also to the agreed work hours. In addition, the location was perfect because it's in the center. We enjoyed at the fullest this exeperience.

Overall it was a great experience, we had a lot of fun with the other volunteers. We didn't have much contact with the host/ never saw him (only WhatsApp). He was okay, one time other volunteers had to talk to the police for him (he lives in Barcelona) because there isn't any staff. Facilities were okay and working hours as agreed upon (most times finish even earlier). Location was incredible, right in the center, and the house has an amazing rooftop terrace. Overall an experience I would recommend.

Fue nuestro primer voluntariado, por lo que tratamos de escoger un buen lugar y realmente fue una buena experiencia. Las tareas son claras y sencillas, incluso a veces terminas pronto así que tienes mucho tiempo libre. La ubicación es privilegiada y el anfitrión es muy facilitador y buena gente y aunque él no está en el lugar, se comunica a diario para gestionar las tareas. Mi única recomendación es que desde el primer día con los voluntarios que ya están se aseguren de repartir de manera equitativa y justa las tareas y listo!

La ubicación es privilegiada y aunque el anfitrión no está en el lugar, se comunica a diario para gestionar lo que se requiere, además de ser muy atento y facilitador. Mi única recomendación es que los voluntarios que estén, se aseguren de que se está asignando equitativamente las tareas.
