The Experience

As a housekeeping volunteer you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the housekeeping team you’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness for our residents. Duties include : Everyday general cleaning including the cleaning of showers, toilets, bedrooms, public & communal areas, external areas, kitchens and dining room.

This was my first volunteering experience through Worldpackers, and it was great! The working hours were as agreed upon, and the tasks weren't too difficult. The work consisted of housekeeping and cleaning, none of the volunteers had reception duties. I shared a room with one other volunteer, and the location was perfect: very central and within walking distance of everything. Communication was clear, and we had one day off each week. It was a great experience overall, and I got to meet people from different parts of the world, even though the team was small.

Volunteering at the hostel is great! The staff is fantastic, the tasks are clearly communicated, and the location in London is close to everything. I shared a room with one other person and we had our own bathroom as well. Highly recommended!

It was my first time using worldpackers and it was so much fun. I had a clean, room which I shared with 1 other person. The team was small and they where lovely.
