The Experience

I manage a small tourist accommodation by myself, consisting of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. I'm looking for someone to help me welcome guests, keep tidy, prepare breakfasts, mow the garden, help me with small house maintenance jobs. In exchange I offer board and lodging, in an exclusive single room.

My experience in this volunteering was amazing and very interesting because I had the opportunity to work in a great place, with a very good environment and very welcoming people. Gigliola is a very nice lady and she always made us feel very confortable at her place. I would recommend this volunteering opportunity to everyone that would like to stay in a relaxed place. Schio is very beautiful and close to many different towns like Venice and Verona! 🤗

My experience was excellent. Gigliola is an easygoing and fun person who hosted a barbecue and invited us for dinner sometimes. The tasks are quite simple and easy to perform. The town of Schio is small and peaceful, not much to do, but it's a great place to relax and allows you to easily explore other nearby cities by train. Thanks for everthing, Gigliola! I had a really good time there =)

My volunteering experience in Gigliola's house was amazing!! Schio, the city, has surprised me from the beginning! Very beautiful and peaceful, with a chain of mountains behind it—excellent for a relaxing moment on my trip! Her house is also lovely and cozy, the volunteer space is huge and very pleasant. Gigliola is very attentive and friendly, a super fun person I had the privilege to meet! The workload is perfectly manageable, and the tasks are reasonable. The people living in the house were another positive aspect, because I made great friends :)

Gigliola is a lovely host even with the project just at the start and her a bit busy sometimes, what demand from the travellers to be self motivated and proactive to make things happen, wich is balanced with loads of flexibility and occasional delicious Italian food made by her! Schio is a very chill place, so do not expect great parties or lot of options to go out. For who loves nature and history, you'll be stay in a perfect place!
