Hello everyone. This has been a magnificent experience; I have no words to describe it. The landscapes are unimaginable. You learn to appreciate how fortunate we are to live in the city. I'm taking friends from all over the world with me. Teamwork always led us to success. An experience that enriches life. Goga is a wonderful person. Primoz is a hardworking and kind individual. Thank you, Bosnia 🇧🇦🇨🇴

The lodge Franko TV show: A truly unique experience in the mountains of Bosnia, EVERY day is different than the last! You must work together as a team with the other volunteers to be successful, they will become your new family. The hikers that visit have fascinating things to share! Before committing to this position, keep in mind you may have to deal with bed bugs, hike up with your bags, and have to bucket shower. Hiking-wise: these are the quietest woods I have ever walked. Sunrise and sunset NEVER disappoint and Primoz's cooking is amazing. Be mindful - winter is a different beast up here.

This journey has been an incredibly magical and transformative experience, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and a deep connection with nature. The warmth and hospitality of the Bosnian people make you feel at home, while the daily hikes offer new adventures with stunning landscapes, as if taken from a storybook. Each step reveals something new, making the journey truly unforgettable. ⛰️

This has been by far one of my best Worldpackers experiences. It was challenging and definitely out of my comfort zone, but I am leaving with amazing memories and the best hikes I have done in a long time. If you are willing to face the lodge Franko's challenge, I would for sure recommend it! A few things I recommend: for data - the best one for good signal is Mtel (you can buy 10GB for two weeks for 10KM), good waterproof hiking shoes if you want to enjoy your walks (it can be slippery when it rains), electricity is limited so a good book is always nice to have, and - Good luck in Vahala!

The best place I've stayed in all of Europe. Primoz is my favorite host. We were well taken care of. No shower or toilet, but so many good times and memories

It's hard to write words to describe my month in Dom the lodge Franko. It's the kind of place that you can't get tired of admiring. Sunsets, laughter, flowers, soup, zova, music, cat, stars, letters and friends. I'm very grateful for the true friendships I made during these weeks, people I'll keep with me forever. Thank you Primož and Goga, for the lessons I learned and the delicious food. I hope the winds of fate will take me back to this place one day, because I may have left the cabin, but the cabin will never leave my heart ;) Ps: see you in valhalla

It's little challenging to wrap up the whole experience into few sentences but I'll try) I absolutely love the time spent in the lodge Franko n feel grateful to have meet the fellow volunteers, the Slovenian bear man host Primoz and lovely Gulga(hope I spell it right..). It's almost magical you can be lucky to form the bond as we did, like a sweet and wonderful family. Well I felt it anyway haha. Oh Mac the most lovable predator on Trebević, n silly Dexter, many Bosnians are so kind, the slopes, the lodge, the sun, Nikki, Juan, Clem, Tomas, Lia, Sona..Thank you for making up my Bosnian summer!

I really enjoyed my time volunteering at this the lodge- our primary task was very simple and easy (serving drinks to guests who hiked up the lodge) and I really enjoyed getting to know the volunteers I worked with while staying there. Although there is no running water and limited options for food weekly, it is definitely manageable and worth the experience! The view is stunning and the locals are the main customers, so you get to learn more about this beautiful country if you talk with them. Primoz is the host and he is a bit rough around the edges but has a soft center overall 😊💓
