Was an amazing, authentic backpacking experience! Definitely an unforgettable one. It was lovely being up in the mountains and easy to adjust to the lodge life. Plenty of down time, tasks were easy and lots of opportunities to speak to locals. Primož was a great host and an excellent cook on the weekends. It builds good character and definitely something every backpacker should try. Very good bonding experience with other volunteers and plenty of great stories to tell. Lovely the lodge cat (Matz) and dog (Dexter). Thank you for having me! Would do it all again!!

Coming to practice Bosnian and take in the beautiful the lodge scenery I ended up getting so so much more. Wonderful, generous guests - both local and international, great and ever changing teams of volunteers, simple and fairytale-like tasks (such as collecting wild flowers for herbal teas!), best sunsets and furry friends - anything from myriad of dogs to wild horses! The owner and creator of this place, Primož has all his heart and wisdom for hard-working, engaged people who are prepared to learn. Please don't treat it like a free holiday and you will have the most fab experience!

This was my first volunteering experience and it was a great one! Primoz can be stern at times but overall he was a great host. The other volunteers became like a family to me and I'm truly greatful. We were with 6 volunteers but normally there are around 2 and there still was enough room for everyone. You can plan your own free days in the week which you can go to Sarajevo and enjoy the night there or hike around. It's about a 45 minute walk down to the cable cart. It's a great place to meet locals and talk and exchange. I've learned a lot from this place. Thank you Primoz and Golga!

The lodge Franko is an the lodge not a resort , please keep that in mind before applying for that experience, because if you need comforts, you won't be suitable for going there. Life in the lodge can be really hard sometimes, and getting Sarajevo takes a while without a car. If you go there aiming to appreciate simple things you'll have an extraordinary experience like I had. The nature and the air quality are wonderful, the local people are extremely kind and welcoming, I met so nice folk and spend excellent moments with the others volunteers. Thank you Primoz for the opportunity!

I left the lodge but the lodge won't ever leave from me. It's really a magical place in the middle of the woods, with an incredible view, peace and the owners are so nice people. It's literally an opportunity to connect with yourself and nature. There's no bathroom but for me showering at night under the moon's light was just magical. I hope I can get there anytime soon,it's an experience you don't want to miss. Thanks for the opportunity, the best volunteering ever!!!

Pimoz picked me up and took me to his the lodge. The view was amazing day and night, and you have it every day, that's crazy. You get a lot of free time. And a lot of fun, on the weekends we drank some beers with primoz and other hikers and get told incredible stories. The food there was very good. Beans and chicken soup every weekend and I loved it. You have to go there and experience it yourself, it's absolutely worth it.

I had a really great experience at the lodge Franko, the place is amazing if you wanna be in touch with nature, the view is credible, you meet a lot of local people and the work is chill. The only complicated thing is the bathroom and hygiene

The experience was okay but the description for World Packers needs to be amended. There is no running water and electricity is only available when it is sunny due to the solar panels. 'Free Laundry' also means hiking 30 minutes down the lodge to a pipe and washing clothes there. The work was as described however where you sleep there is many many bedbugs that had got very out of hand that a professional will need to fix rather than inexperienced volunteers. Will really need to fix! Also the lodge is an hour hiking without a pick up.

So many things... It was rough but s nice experience, when you live there in the lodge you learn to appreciate the daily things like a proper toilet or shower jajaja... Living in the lodge was better than I expected, the customers that go there are really nice and kind, always eager to have a good conversation about anything. It's really relaxing being there... And, like in the other commentaries; there is no shower, the toilet is a hole in the ground so I would say that this volunteering is for the brave ones and not picky persons. I met great people up there that I would like to see again.
