The Experience
As a housekeeping volunteer you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the housekeeping team you’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness for our residents. As a dining room volunteer you'll be serving meals to our residents, cleaning the dining room and washing up. As a kitchen assistant you'll be helping the chef with deliveries, some meal prepping, cleaning and general duties.

The staff were absolutely lovely (shout out to jacob!) & the volunteers as well, though mostly stay by themselves the housekeeping work feels social & you finish quickly with great teamwork the food is also delicious :) however, i didn't like the dependency i needed to have, for exp the laundry is off sometimes & you need to contact the reception (which could be empty & take a while) or how the lift doesn't work well, we laughed about it but it gets frustrating, esp when working also not much privacy or a place where you can have your own space when needed but overall a good place :)

It was an invaluable experience, I definitely recommend it. The people there are very friendly, attentive and hospitable. Jacob made my stay welcoming and enjoyable, and definitely made me want to come back. Thank you for everything, I am very happy to have had the opportunity to be there.

I had a great time volunteering at Sandeman. The staff and volunteers were super friendly and welcoming, as well as the residents. The work was straightforward and hours were what was agreed upon. The location is also amazing. An experience I would definitely recommend to others!

I really enjoyed this experience, it was my first and I absolutely don't regret doing it! I met some incredible people, I miss them already 😔 I will keep very good memories of it. The working hours were correct. The hotel is really well located, which allowed me to da lot of things in London. The manager Jacob and his assistants were really nice 😘

This was my first volunteering experience, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better one! The work hours were fair and always respected, and the entire staff was incredibly welcoming and supportive. I also had the chance to meet some amazing fellow volunteers and residents, which made the experience even more special. I'd highly recommend volunteering at Sandeman to anyone looking for a positive, rewarding opportunity 😊
