I had a lovely few days with Tanka and his family. Their hosting was warm and welcoming, and the work, though not difficult, was both educational and fun. There are lots of places to explore around the village. It was truly a great experience!

I stayed 10 days at this farm & felt very welcomed by the whole family. We played lots of games, learned some ukulele and cooked together. The work was fun. I experienced Tanka as a clear, patient instructor. I'm very thankful about everything i learned about the farmlife. Besides that I was able to learn some cooking and new games! My tasks were walking the dog ( which was the biggest challenge to be honest), feeding the animals, help with sudying, cutting grass and special tasks depending on demand and weather. I enjoyed the river, the view and all the butterflies and frogs:) thank you!

My time in the farm was absolutely amazing. The farm itself is located in a quiet mountain part of Pokhara with stunning view and crazy nature and a creak you can go and bath in the farm. I got to do all kinds of work like taking care of the cow and goats and just general things in the farm. And learned so much from my time there. Tanka the host was perfect and we worked together everyday and immediately became very good friends, with him and his beautiful family treating me like one of them I just felt like home and stayed more than planned with no days off at all.

Tanka had an amazing home with an amazing family, truly I had an exceptional experience and stay, getting to now the farm, locals, and nature. A nice quiet place on the country side to relax and work hard. Thank you for hosting Tanka.

I spent a wonderful 10 days on the farm! Tanka and his family are so welcoming and i had the most amazing time. There is so many different things you can do on the farm my favourite things to do were feed the goats and work in the rice fields. Also there is a stream you can go into to cool off when it's hot which is so nice. It's a lovely environment all the locals are super friendly. I would recommend this experience to anyone who is wanting to experience true nepali culture and eat good nepali food and of course to stay with the family!

I spent an unforgettable 8 days at the farm. I only wish i could have extended my time for longer. Tanka and his family welcomed me with open arms and really look after the volunteers. The work is light and fun with a lot of time to relax in nature, socialise with other volunteers and explore the local area. This was a very special experience for me and I have found my happy place in Nepal. I would recommend this experience to anybody wanting to connect with nature and experience life on a small family run farm! Thank you for everything, see you soon :)

We had a great time on the farm with the family and we learnt so much about their way of life and the animals they look after. The family are so welcoming and really made us feel comfortable. We especially loved looking after the dog and the cute baby goats! We would recommend this volunteering experience to anyone!

The overall experience this week was okay. The farm is quite small, the work done was educational and not tiring. In my opinion, the place where I slept was not suitable for hosting two volunteers because it was too small. The welcome wasn't the best, I was asked to eat on the floor while Tanka and his wife ate in the armchair. Furthermore, the house rules were not clearly defined, and this led to a rather heated discussion with tanka. So I was forced to leave the farm two days before the scheduled departure.

This was difficult for me as a solo female. The area is beautiful, and the work was pretty light. My biggest issue was with the treatment of their dog, which lives in a crate outside unless he's on 2 short walks a day given by me. He is not leash trained and doesn't have a harness, and escaped 4 times in the week I was there. I had to chase/catch him ALONE each time while he scratched/tried to bite me, not wanting to go back to the crate. The other issue was just that it is a very patriarchal house hold and I felt uncomfortable with the expressed opposition of women's rights in Nepal.
