Victoria and I had a really good time at the hostel. The managers are amazing and the food provided is super tasty. It was our first experience with volunteering and we loved it.

It was my first volunteer and It was a good experience, Cyril and the whole team were very kind and attentive. The work is not heavy, but the person needs to pay attention to detail. The hostel has a great location. I recommend this experience.

Future volunteers: It was a good experience! I recommend the place if you want to save money (2 really good meals a day, served in another place) and I don't recommend it if you are looking for a fun place, social interaction, good bedroom (the male room is quite messy and really smelly, where there are 5 guys living there, for months or years) or an easy job (it's not!). No complains here, just sharing my experience. 🙂 the hostel: I would recommend putting the backpackers in the basement (those who are not "living" there), and the volunteers living there in the ground floor room. 😊

Although it seemed like a lot of work to do at first, I've realized it isn't that bad at all, as long as you keep a good pace, you have plenty of time to get your job done. Depending on where you are working, there is a difference in the amount of work. Overall not bad work, although I've heard of volunteers getting tired of doing the same thing everyday. A little bit of variety might benefit the place. Cyril is reasonable, and as long as you talk to him, he will honor anything you two agree on. Albor is great. He is always working to improve on this volunteering opportunity.

My experience at the hostel was great. The workload is fair and you have plenty of time to enjoy the city after your shift. The accommodation is comfortable and the food provided is nice. The staff is kind and flexible and interested in any suggestions that you may have. I would add an extra day off because one per week is not enough to be able to travel around. That would allow the Worldpackers to know a bit more about the UK. Thanks for having me!!

I am happy with my first experience as a volunteer at Leinsnter house. A important fact that you have to take into account is that this hostel is for a long term acommodation. Therefore, the residents are usually the same. Another important fact, is that some part of the residents are people with some kind of problems in their lifes, like healths, mental or risk of social exclusion. Overall, the experience was okay. Thank you to all the hostel's staff!

I think the best part of the experience was meeting people from different places and learning from them. The hostel staff always treated me with respect and cordiality. The work is intense, if you don't have problems with this you will do great, we have to da thorough cleaning. The tasks are taught by an old volunteer and there is no standard training, and because of this, sometimes tasks taught do not correspond to what is expected by the staff. The guests often make our work difficult, they don't let us clean up and some can be a little bit annoying. For more info DM 🙃

Although it's good for 2 meels per day and the location, many times the tasks are uncomfortable, especially when cleaning bathrooms since it's not a hostel. People pay to live there every week, so don't expect to find many travelers like in a hostel. There are also individuals who leave bathrooms, kitchens, and rooms quite dirty. The male volunteer room also needs a fan, at least, as the heat in the room, especially for sleeping, is overwhelming during the summer. The shared kitchen needs more equipment. You only get one day off per week, they could improve that for have 2 days off per week

Hi Santiago, thanks for your contribution to Leinster House. We always send to the candidate before any approval a detailed volunteering position description emphasizing that Leinster House is a quiet hostel where we have long-term residents that are workers and students, that the position consiste in a 24H cleaning contribution per week with 1 day off. We want to make sure that the candidate is fully aware of what it is to be expected and agree with all. That is why we are surprised of some aspects of your review. Wish you the best Leinster House

Great location, the manager is a very good and kind person, schedule is always met, nothing to complain about that. But the bathroom and kitchen that the volunteers can use is very bad, volunteers who have been there for a longer time say that things are theirs. We don't have glasses, bad cutlery, just few things. Thanks the hostel
