We had a wonderful experience at the home. Mama made fresh, delicious food for us every day! We also met Saroj's sisters and they were very friendly and helpful. There was no work on the farm but we were never bored for a moment. The farm is an ideal place if you want to relax, eat good food with warm people around you. Thank you Saroj and family for the 9 nights/10 days. We will miss it

Saroj and his family were so welcoming. We arrived just before mid day and were immediately asked if we would like to join them for lunch. Mama's cooking was so good. The work was easy and only lasted 1-2 hours a day (no work on Saturday or Sunday). We did a mix of picking up leaves, collecting potatoes and weeding. My friend had a cold on the last couple of days we were at the farm and Mama and the sisters kept asking after her and also made her ginger tea 😊. I would recommend this experience to any future traveler's.

Saroj and his family were incredibly welcoming. I had a fantastic time staying here. Work was easy and the food was delicious! During the end of my stay I wasn't feeling very well and the family took very good care of me, including lots of hot fresh tea to help my stuffy nose. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Ooh my goodness mama I miss your food so much already, so incredibly delicious. the home feels like a second home in Kathmandu the whole family is so welcoming and kind. The wheel is easy and they are very understanding and willing to help with anything you need. They even very kindly let us volunteers join in with their Tihar festivities which is a very family orientated festival and to have been invited and to be a part of that was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I learnt a lot about Nepali culture and life through staying here and I really appreciate everything. Thank you!xx

I spend 10 amazing days with Saroj and his lovely family. There wasn't too much work that needed to be done during my stay so we had a lot of time to explore Kathmandu. Saroj was an excellent host, and the food was really good. Would defenetly recommend volunteering here!

Saroj and his family were so kind and welcoming. There wasn't too much work during the time I was there so I had a lot of time to explore Kathmandu. Saroj took me up into the mountains on one of the days off, and also took me and the other volunteers to a local temple one day. Would definitely recommend volunteering here!!

A highly recommended experience. One of the best experiences of my life. Saroj and his family made us feel like home. We have learned about the value of things and it has been incredible to learn about Nepali culture from this farm.

This was my first worldpackers experience but it was perfect, was very relaxed, host was amazing and very clear at outlining daily tasks. I guess if I had to give some feedback it would be that some working days almost felt to short and you wanted to stay and help the farm for longer. But overall I couldnt recommend this place more and will definitely be back in the future.

Noemi and I went to the home for a bit more of a week. We worked during the working days around 2h at the midday doing farm tasks like weeding, planting, making compost, very interesting. We also had great meals, I loved specially the Thukpa, and even one day we did momos. Saroj is very nice and always willing to help you. It is also well located at 1h walk from Thamel and near to few hills.
