As my first ever volunteering experience, I'm really grateful to be there. I was truly immersed in their family and you'll also feel like you are a part of their family. Unfortunately, during my stay I didn't had do that much work as it was winter season. I loved the family and I already miss them.

This was a great experience with a lovely family at their local farm! Thank you so much for letting me feel "to be a part of the family" for the last few weeks. I enjoyed every aspect of my stay, especially the culinary part, with all the cooking and shared experience of your family. I wish you all the best!

The stay with the host family was okay. However, during the entire stay, we didn't work or engage in any activities at all. This was probably because we were the only volunteers there with my girlfriend, but we expected more involvement in the household. So, for us, it was more like a hotel, which we eventually left early. Overall, I would recommend the experience; we probably just had bad luck with the timing when there was no work in the garden and no other volunteers. The family was very nice, and everyone treated us well.

I had a good time at the farm and really enjoyed staying in a local neighborhood! If you're looking for some peace and “quiet” - it's still Kathmandu - away from the chaos in Thamel this is the place to go. Also highly recommend joining the local yoga class in the neighborhood. During my stay there was not a lot of work to do, so me and the other volunteers had a lot of free time to explore and overall the stay felt more like a hostel. 😊

Our experience with the home was both good and bad. First of all we expected to meet the host when we got there but he was out trekking as a guide for some other people. Mama and papa were good and welcoming to us instead, a very kind family. We also went trekking with saroj and i think everybody had a bad experience with him as a guide… in my opinion he should stick to the farm and take care of his guests. The work at the farm was around 1 hour every day exept saturday( holiday). Big sleeping rooms with hard beds and dogs barking at night.. so bring earplugs!

As I Was in trek , I haven't meet them but there is my family. And the thing is they didn't join us with the trek . They are not exact with date , always pretend as sick and didn't enjoy with food and family , mostly eat outside. Overall they gave a big hand in garden.

Mama and Papa were amazing. They hosted me since Saroj was out due being on a Trek in the Everest. Regarding Saroj himself, as mentioned and didn't had the opportunity to meet him until we decided to book him as guide. Definitively NOT RECOMMENDED. He lack responsibilities and even left a team member that was suffering from knee pain at the end of the trail. He also didn't provide cultural content nor talked much during our trip. While helpful asking for food and accommodation that's not the main job of a guide in my opinion but to provide the team with leadership and a smile 😃.

I had a delightful experience at the home. The family was incredibly kind, offering a warm welcome and ensuring my stay was pleasant with their hospitality. Mama prepared Nepali meals three times a day, allowing us to engage with her in the kitchen and garden. While there wasn't much gardening work, we still had the chance to take part in simple tasks like prepping soil and planting seeds. However, if you're seeking a permaculture course, this may not be the ideal location. Also, accommodation can benefit from more thorough upkeep, but family's generosity makes the stay worthwhile :)

I had a great time at the home and my highlight was the Trek I did together with Saroj. He was a great guide and I always felt safe and cared for. He also took us to the fests and made sure we experienced Nepali culture. Apart from that the work was really easy and just about an hour a day. The room is getting cold at night so wear many layers and the bed is not really comfortable because it's just a table with a blanket on top. But nevertheless a great and cheap place to stay if you want to see Nepal
