Volunteering at the hostel has been amazing! When I first showed up, I hardly knew any Portuguese, but with the help from the wonderful staff and volunteers I've learned so much. Everyone is so open and considerate, the working hours are well organized and the owner Maria is great. I definitely found a home away from home and hope I will have the opportunity to come back. Thank you for everything, I truly recommend this hostel to anyone considering volunteering!

Making part of the hostel for two months was one of the best experiences I had in my life, I could learn a little about many things I never imagined I would learn. The staff and volunteers are kind and lovely. Mary, the host, is very sweet and knows how to make everyone comfortable. The shifts are very well instructed and managed. I met amazing people in this place and I felt like home, I am very grateful for this time I had here and the family I found on the way. I will definitely come back and recommend the hostel to everyone ❤️
