The Experience

We need help with stonework on or house, some gardening , painting & decorating, and other general around the house work. Unfortunately we don't have a animal farm, just a very nice Labrador. We would like to meet and enjoy good company, learn and share knowledge, exchange experience's. Our home is rented for the summer and some winter weeks, but for the rest we enjoy hobbies and the surrounding.

Darko and Rajka were amazing hosts, we had such a great week here - wish we could have stayed longer! We learnt so much during our time there and both were great teachers, patient and generous. We worked on the stonework of the house, which we had never done before so was a fun and interesting experience! We also helped Rajka in their beautiful garden.

This experience was short but good fun. We stayed a week and were taught very well with the projects that needed doing. Darko was patient and explained everything that we needed to do in the day, then would happily leave us to it or help also depending on the job 😊. We ate very well too, trying local traditional food options, and the room provided was cozy and clean with a games room too. Would highly recommend this experience to learn new skills and the work was very satisfying.

Darko was the most generous host that I had. His place is wonderful. The view was gorgeous. Honestly the nature around this place was great and also the tips that I get from Darko where to go and what to check was awesome. Also I have learned a lot of skills and I'm looking forward to time when I'll use them in my future. Darko has a lot of knowledges and ideas and he likes to share them.

Rajka and Darko are really amasing hosts! I mostly worked with Darko on the house facade, and helped a little in the kitchen. The tasks were simple and both Darko and Rajka are great in explaining how and what to do. The working hours are reasonable and you'll have plenty of time to rest after working outside. They took me on smaller trips around the region and I got to know the neighbrohood (which is also very welcoming!). If you are looking for a place to disconnect from the busy city life and learn about Croatian culture, this is a great place for you!

It was an incredible experience ! Darko and Rajka are so nice and welcoming. Working on the project wasn't so hard and it was nice to see the evolution. Darko took us on hikings tours, if you are searching for contact with nature it's the perfect place ! I really recommend this experience !
