This past month at the school was soo fun and soo special.✨The work was not that hard and the 3 hours went by very fast. I loved hanging out with fellow volunteers and staff, and I am very grateful I got to meet all of those amazing people. Audrey and Ai-chan were/are so kind and understanding. The vibe at the school is very chill and laid back which suited my easy-going lifestyle. The location is also perfect for exploring both Kyoto and the school. I had such a blast while volunteering at the school and I want to thank everyone for making my stay comfortable and unforgettable. I will cherish these memories forever.πŸ’—

Had a wonderful time during my stay at the school! It's perfect for solo travelers who want to stay outside the big cities and enjoy socializing in an international community. Big thank you to everyone I met here. Staff, volunteers, friends and family, you all made this experience truly special! β™‘ Let's keep in touch, and see you again soon ;)

My stay at the school was so special and fun!! Audrey and Ai-chan were so friendly, helpful, and hardworking. We worked 3hrs/day (5 days/week) which involved cleaning rooms and common spaces, alongside practicing English with students. Also, the relaxed work hours gave me the opportunity to become good friends with the other volunteers as we would often hangout in the lounge or go shopping/sightseeing. The location is super convenient as well: the school is close to the train station (easy to travel into Kyoto and the school) and shops. I will miss everyone at the school so so much 😭 Thank you for the amazing time πŸ’—

I loved staying at the school!! This was my first time volunteering so I was really nervous about it, but everyone made me feel so welcomed. Ai Chan and Audrey are so kind and friendly! If I get the chance in the future, I'll definitely be coming back! Thank you so much!

I enjoyed my 3 weeks volunteering at the school. The staff is really nice (Audrey & Ai) and I really enjoyed befriending other volunteers plus some of the cool guests who stayed at for a couple of days or longer. The tasks consist of cleaning rooms &/or common spaces, then you had time to yourself to go exploring, although since I was staying here from June going into July, sometimes it became too hot to go outside so you found ways to relax inside. I recommend this Worldpackers experience for anyone staying in the school and Kyoto area.

I would absolutely recommend the school for the experience. The hostel is very warm, feels like a sharehouse and the staff is so kind and flexible. The work itself and working hours are fair and gives you plenty of time to visit around. Also, having a room to yourself is a huge plus! Unfortunately I had to leave earlier than expected, but my time there was so enjoyable, thank you so much for everything :)

I had such a great experience at the school, the working hours it's perfect and you get a private room which is unbelievable! Hirakata is such a calm and lovely place, you will be between the school and Kyoto which is really convenient to go to those two places. The team at the school is so nice and I'll miss them a lot, pretty sure I'll have a lovely time and recommend anyone that is planning to go to japan.

I had an amazing time at the school! The staff is super friendly and I felt welcome the very first moment! The house offers both private rooms and a cozy social area where I connected with locals and people from all over the world. We went to karaoke, on hikes, visited izakaya and parks, played games, and had so much fun just hanging out! Working hours (about 3 hours on weekdays) were totally fair too and left plenty of time to explore Kyoto, the school, and Nara. Even Hirakata itself is a beautiful, local area. Thank you so much the school for the great time! I'll definitely come back! 😊

My wife Megan and I had an amazing time volunteering at the school! We met so many cool people here, especially the other volunteers. It was great to stay in Hirakata and relax, while also having great access to other places in Kansai. The tasks are very reasonable (cleaning, blogging, etc) and we had lots of free time. Audrey and Ai-chan make this place great and you will feel right at home! This was our first Worldpackers experience and I don't think it will ever be topped!
