I had a really good time in Urquhart! Andreas and Kris were always welcoming and very friendly. The place is quiet and after work you have time to wander around, by walking or bike. I was happy to join Andreas and Kris for Sunday the home, the Highland games or trip to the Abbey. Thank you and I hope you will have the same good experience as me:)

This was my first volunteering experience and I enjoyed it. It was a beautiful experience. The place is gorgeous and the accommodation provided is excellent. What stood out the most for me were the meals after work (great food and conversations) and the peaceful atmosphere. I totally recommend it—if you're looking to disconnect, this is the perfect place. Thank you for everything, Kris and Andreas!

I'm very glad to have picked this volunteering place as my first experience. Andreas and Kris did a great job at including me in their lifes (if I wanted to), and were always clear about my current objectives at my job. The given room was also a joy with a special shout out to the shower. I'll miss that shower. Anyways if you are interested in the areas lore and like good food, then I can only recommend applying for the home :)

It was my first experience volunteering and it was totally worthy. Kris and Andreas are amazing hosts and their home is simply gorgeous. They are always welcoming, open to help and willing to show you the best face of Scotland. Andreas is an amazing storyteller and Kris is the best chef ever. Also the acomodation is great and you have time and space for yourself, networking or explore the surroundings. Thank you for making it so memorable! Totally recomended.

Scotland is the country of Storytelling and we love to share these stories with our volunteers as well as having great outings in our area and meeting locals.

I had an amazing time at the home! Andreas and Kris have been extremely welcoming and caring, as have been the locals. I feel like I've learned a lot about the Scottish culture, about gardening and I feel like I've learned a lot about myself as well. Their home with their amazing garden always had a space to retreat to and to enjoy. I felt really close to nature, as we always worked outside. To summarise: I fell in love with the countryside of northern Scotland and I'll definitely return one day :) 100% recommended!!

Its important for us to give volunteers space to enjoy, to reflect and to experience Scotland and its people.
Great if it even leads to learn more about yourself!
We are always on hand to assist in achieving the very best experience possible.
