The Experience

We are micro natural winery that produce wine from the ground to the bottles, and we also have a small vegetables garden. We produce electricity by electric solar panels, and hot water from the stoves and from the warm solar panels as well. Help us in the field to take care the wine plants, strimming weeds, picking grapes, digging, build a fence tied stems, etc. The farm tasks can be tough, so be sure you are fit enough and ready to learn!

I had a wonderful time here with Lorenzo, Peter, Laura and the other volunteers! As soon as I met Lorenzo with his authentic warmth (when he picked me up from the train station) I was reassured. This was my first Worldpackers experience and I'm very glad! The work in the vineyard was incredibly cathartic for me and gave me a lot of time to think, and I loved driving home with the sunset and Italian music (and Lorenzo's lyric translations!) There were 5 other girls in their mid-20s when I arrived and it was so fun to befriend them. Other highlights were 'Just Dance' and practicing Italian :)

Thanks for the experience!! The working hours were respected. And delicious homemade food. Special thanks to Peter, who made my stay really enjoyable by sharing his knowledge and life stories 😊

During my stay I made some friendships and memories that I will always hold close to my heart. My fav parts were the copious amounts of bread & pasta, cute cat, playing guitar, learning italian, being surrounded by beautiful vineyards, and good laughs. Work is repetitive, as expected. Communication could be difficult at times but Lorenzo is always kind to answer your questions. It takes a lot of work to run a the winery, so it is up to you and the volunteers to coordinate cleaning in your space. If you are up for a farm lifestyle and living alongside nature, this experience is perfect for you.

Lorenzo, Laura and Peter were all warm and friendly from day one, they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is my first time doing anything like this and I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend to others. Only negative is almost half of the other volunteers didn't enjoy the experience but I'm not going to speak on their behalf so look at all the reviews on here and other websites to actually know what to expect.

I recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic stay in the winery. It's a traditional family and the work gives insight into their lifestyle. Peter and Laura are excellent cooks and Italian teachers. Lorenzo, Vivi (and Camis) became great friends. I felt very welcomed, though some communication adjustments would be appreciated. Tasks are physical and outdoors, so be ready for adverse weather and some muscle soreness. The accommodation was functional. The location is quite remote, but they offered rides on weekends, and I got to visit nearby towns. I'm grateful! Thank you for all.
