The hostel is a great opportunity to meet other travelers and explore Buenos Aires! I do recommend having a solid grasp on Spanish to get the most of the experience, as many of the volunteers and staff don't speak English. That sometimes presented challenges, but it's my fault for not knowing more Spanish before going to Argentina 😄and hey, overcoming those situations is half the fun sometimes!

I had a great experience volunteering at Hoste the hostel as a night receptionist. The hostel is in a super central and quiet area of Buenos Aires. The work matches the description: 2–3 night shifts of 8 hours, usually calm since few guests check in late. This gives you lots of free time during the day. The staff is friendly and welcoming — especially Leandro, Belén, and Wendy. I also got along really well with the other volunteers. Highly recommended!

This is probably the quietest place I've been, which is great for those who want to enjoy the city and rest in a comfy bed after a fun night or a long day walking. The location is great. The shifts are also really flexible so you'll have A LOT of time to visit Buenos Aires. Right now the owners are putting a lot of effort into bringing this place back up to its glorious days, so, it needs a lot of love and positive energy. If you're thinking about volunteering here, remember to always bring your best attitude and help as much as you can. Life will always reward you!
