I had an amazing experience at the project & I highly recommend this for anyone looking to connect with nature & learn about permaculture. The village is an absolutely beautiful place & it was great to stay in your own private hut. The work is fun & relaxed but it does get very hot. There is plenty of time to explore the nearby area & discover amazing nature. Lele is a great host & is very accommodating to any needs

Honestly best thing I have ever done. This was my first time volunteering and everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. The people I volunteered with were very welcoming. The work was very rewarding and not that demanding. There was a perfect balance between work and fun.

My time in the project was phenomenal and I had lots of fun building and doing gardening. Lele is a very funny guy, with a lot of stories to tell and a big passion for Permaculture. His dream to build a community in the middle of nowhere and try to reduce/eliminate consumerism is quite inspiring and interesting. I would definitely go back one day. The people I met there were AMAZING and I will miss a lot the dogs :( Thanks for everything!

Absolutely loved the experience, met loads of amazing people and learned so much. Accomodation is in huts that were built by other volunteers and they can get pretty hot which takes a while to get used to but are fairly comfy overall. Food was also really good but a lot of spices which I wasn't really used to but still enjoyed it. Would highly recommend the project to anyone wanting a social experience where you can see the impact your work has.

I had a great and very full first one month! I decided to stay in the village longer to be able to learn more and keep growing with the projects. I'm slowly learning a lot about this kind of slow lifestyle, what I really loved since the beginning : the good balance between “work” and “relax”. A lot of silence, a lot of nature, lots of observing experiences, lots of time to learn new things and meet new people and realities. Lele is a great person, sometimes difficult to understand him but with a big heart, and if you can take the time to talk with him you will learn something for sure!

I only spent one week in the village. Unfortunately, I got sick in the first days and couldn't recover as soon as I wanted, but these days also showed me how great the people are there. They helped me in everything from the beginning and made sure I was getting better. In the end, I left a bit earlier because I got worse in the heat, but I highly recommend staying there if you are interested in permaculture. Lele was happy to explain everything I asked and was very patient with me. The projects are very interesting and you can 100% find something you would want to try and participate in.

Really enjoyed my time at Garawee, so glad I went. Learnt a lot about sustainability and enjoyed being so close to nature with other like minded volunteers who quickly became good friends. Lele is very passionate about permaculture and has a lot of knowledge to pass on. Highly recommended
