Really nice time in the eco village. The place is really great, surrounded by nature. You have your own privacy and the social part with the other travelers is nice too. The mix is great. We can feel how Lele the owner care about the place and the life he created. Great place to escape the crowd of south Thailand !!

After 5 weeks of immersing myself in the eco village my heart feels full from the love and special memories I've made here, and heartbroken it's over and I've left behind family. This is more of an experimental village that invites you to think for yourself, come with an open mind, and communicate with the community upon work. If you're just looking for a cheap place to stay and explore the surrounding areas this is not for you - Lele is extremely selfless, caring & interesting- and the Thai staff (our thai family ) are the most lovely, hardworking and protective people. Miss you all already

We did volunteering at Garawee Village, a perfect eco-village isolated in the center of nature. There were two parts: gardening and building houses with bamboo and clay bricks. It was a very enriching social experience, perfect if your goal is to meet people from all over the world. The work is not very skill-developing, but it is easy to do, and enjoying teamwork is very important. The food is very good, and Lele, the host, is lovely. We definitely recommend it!

I stayed here one month and it was amazing, and it will be the same for you if you want to meet people from all over the world, experience authentic rural Thailand, connect with locals, and learn about permaculture and its principles.

My experience at the eco village was great. I have met beautiful people from all over the world and it actually felt like a family, I was kinda sad to leave them all. You are totally immersed in nature. There is different type of work required, some tasks are more physical some more light and therapeutic. I loved learning more about how to build huts with bamboo and work with clay. Also enjoyed feeding the chickens and watering plants. The area surrounding the village is amazing, and there is a few activities and interesting things to explore. The staff is very kind and friendly.

Lele is truly passionate about his project and permaculture. He has built the place over the last 10 years all by himself and volunteers and created a unique place for volunteers and visitors. We had no work to do and spent our time hitchhiking to the nationalpark and hanging out in the area. We met other travellers and had some good talks! The food is good and the dogs are very cute :) But you have to be aware that you are in the middle of the nature, means lot of bugs, mosquitos, spiders and other animals that come into your hut. It was an interesting experience but just not our place to be

I have a bit of mixed feelings about this experience. The place is beautiful and clearly Lele created it out of love and passion. However this particular experience (less than 2 weeks) has its issues. Working isn't mandatory and definitely not organised, unless the volunteers themselves are willing to. But the main problem is the cost. If you're not staying more than 2 weeks you'll have to pay the meals, which are btw not cheap (200 thb). I worked more than long term volunteers and payed more at the same time. If you have the time go for the other longer term experience.

Spending a week volunteering at this ecovillage was an incredible experience that offered a refreshing perspective on minimalism and living more sustainably. During our stay, we contributed in various ways, including managing social media and online promotion, creating signage to advertise the ecovillage's activities and agricultural products, and helping to promote the project. Work hours were very flexible. We had the pleasure of meeting international volunteers (four at that time). The shared showers and toilets are quite basic. It's clear that the village is heading towards something good!
