The conditions are very basic, there is no hot water or basic sanitation, also during this period, due to the drought, we had a lack of water for some hours. Furthermore, teaching is very precarious at the school where we teach, students aged 12-13 are very difficult to engage and I also noticed a lack of commitment from the school to help, some of the kids go to school just to play and don't care with the classes, I think this should be taken into consideration to regulate your expectations, as it is very difficult to teach English there.

The organization is an important and ambitious project in a town in the eastern part of Peru. Three days a week I taught children in school (4 classes of 3rd and 4th grades) and in the afternoon another two classes on a voluntary basis for them. It's important to understand that the project fee is not for your personal benefit. Chris will tell you all about the bigger plan, but for you personally that means buying your own food, water, other supplies. The house is very basic, beds, fridge and a toilet hut. The main mean of transport is the TucTuc. You will have fun, and greet Aneas from me;)

Go and teach the really motivated adults there. They are really kind. There are also many motivated kids that really want to learn English. Give them that opportunity. It's always better if you speak some Spanish since you can communicate better and be part of the community. The people at the village are really hospitable. You need to be ready to immerse yourself in the culture, the food and the accommodation. Don't expect luxuries. The organisation was supportive, but some more organisation is needed. The nature was beautiful as well. It was totally worth it.

I enjoyed my time at the organization! Chris was very welcoming and well-connected in the area. Puerto Inca and the surrounding nature is beautiful, and I loved going hiking/swimming. There is a great opportunity here to practice Spanish because not many people in the area speak English. Although the accommodation is basic, it has everything you need, including a mosquito net. My favorite part was hanging out with the three dogs and cat on the property!

Hi, I'm Anna, the organization is a great Projekt! I really liked it. I unfortunately had to leave early but Chris (our host) was super supportive and helped me with it! He organised a Taxi for a fee to pick me up from the Airport wich made me feel safe. We did lots of trips and they were awesome. I learned a lot. The only thing that freaked me out a bit at first were the cockroaches and the billion mosquitos. But i got used to the for me, new standard of living quite quickly. If you bring a proper mosquito spray you should be perfectly prepared and ready to start your adventure. Loved it🫶🥰😍

Volunteering at the organization' Life was a great experience. You live in the amazon forest and share quiality time with other volunteers coming from different places and cultures. The first days involve a lot of excursions around the city of Puerto Inca. And in the evenings (3d/w) you have english classes with students of different ages all eager to learn. Chris and Anna are very supportive and will make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you both for such a good time together!

My time in Puerto Inca was absolutely lovely. Chris is a responsible host who takes care of his volunteers. The kids and adult classes were fun.

Puerto Inca is off the beat and path and in the middle of the Peruvian jungle. We were offered trips to immerse us in the jungle seeing beautiful rivers and waterfalls. We spent a night camping and that truly was an experience! Working with the kids and the adults teaching them English was the highlight. So much enthusiasm and excitement to learn and made the trip extra special. I highly recommend if you want an experience of a lifetime and to immerse yourself in the Peruvian culture! Chris, Anna, Percy and Neyer were the best hosts you could for! Forever Grateful! 🧡🧡
