I really had a great time at the hostel, the working team is amazing. Everyone is amazing at its own way. I would definitely recommend this hostel for volunteering. I was welcoming, I made a lot of friends, talk to a lot of people even though it was winter time. About the taks you have to do, basically the hostel has to be clean. So your tasks are cleaning from the breakfast table, mopping the floors, showers and toilets, etc. Also making beds is part of your job. I wish you the best the hostel team, let's hope we can meet again someday.

A great, real cosy and social city hostel. Wonderful team that welcomed me, lots of opportunity to meet international travelers as the lounge area is central inbetween rooms. I helped out with breakfast, event, maintenance, carpets etc. Good coffee from machine anytime you want. Probably the best location you could be in Riga. They are progressing to expand so it will be even better next year, excited to see it. A few negatives, if you like to have your own space, I wouldn't really recommend it. Also there isn't any table space to eat properly. But they serve a backpacker breakfast! Thank you!

Home away from home is the first thought that comes to mind when I think of my time here ❤️ The staff are amazing! I had the privilege of volunteering alongside 2 legends as well. The job was pretty straight forward - housekeeping, cleaning and preparing breakfast were the major responsibilities. Guest interaction/ customer service comes naturally. The shift hours were respected. Sometimes we got to finish a little early. CS has this vibe - words cannot express. It's like an unspoken/ untouch “hug”. Big love to Kristiana for taking a chance on me & giving me this amazing experience!

It is an easy going hostel, the tasks are easy. Its a great place to meet new people and I had lost of fun. Everyone is very nice and chilled. 😀 The breakfast is delicious and the waffles tasting great 😋 Activities like movie night and pub crawls making the stay so much more fun. I recommend the place to everyone that is looking for a awesome time in Riga.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was really perfect! As soon as I arrived I was immediately welcomed by staff, they even offered me breakfast. I was staying in a nice room that was shared by guests. You also get your locker. My job was making breakfast (they have THE BEST waffles) and doing beds. The shift hours are always respected! You will have enough time to visit everything in Riga and all around. Julius the owner is very nice, if you need anything just ask. The hostel is very social, they have a big common area where you can meet other people and share your experiences :)

It is the hostel you wish you were in when you travel, the staff is charming, and the atmosphere in the common area and the location are perfect. As a collaborator in the hostel I felt like one of the staff, the workers are not your superiors, they end up being your friends with whom you share free time and build memories together. The activities and working hours are perfectly respected and they even give you flexibility if you have to do something specific one day. I was treated very well and will have this place in my heart for the rest of my life.

Very goooooood, very niiiiiiiice! the hostel is a big family! I loved everything about it and every single day I was there. The people there are just amazing! The only bad part is to go home after spending such a beautiful time there :( Shout-out to Arta and Kristiāna the best managers ever :)

When I arrived at first I felt automatically welcome from the host and all my future colleagues. The hostel's atmosphere made me feel like home even though this is way different from my house. Don't hesitate to communicate with them, if you need anything; just ask! They are very attentive and they will do their best so that you're feeling good and comfortable! I highly recommend this hostel, for many reasons such as its security, its location, and the good time you can share with people; your colleagues and with the guests! It was very pleasant

I loved my stay with the hostel Sallys. I absolutely understand why it is the top hostel in Riga with its location, atmosphere and vibe. The layout of the hostel is perfect for socialization because the common room is the heart of hostel and brings everyone together which made it so easy to make new friends to enjoy your free time with. The work was also nice and varied. I got new tasks everyday so not a day was similar to the other. Ollie and Julius are super nice and great bosses! I am going to miss my time here :)

I can definitely recommend this place to other volunteers! Right from the beginning I felt very welcomed and I really liked the open communication with Julius and Oliver. They always made sure I feel comfortable with my tasks. Moreover I really enjoyed the social atmosphere in the common room! You will meet a lot of nice and interesting people and have some fun evenings together. :) Don't miss the opportunity to volunteer at this hostel!
