I'm still volunteering at this hostel & it's been such a great experience. Nico and Khris are fantastic hosts and have taught me so much about the region and Italian culture in general. Always super communicative & approachable. I really feel at home here. The volunteering itself is very manageable and fun. You have the opportunity to meet people from many different places.

Overall my experience at Lol hostel was amazing, I spent a very relaxing and fun month in Siracusa. The area is so beautiful and there is lots to explore around. The work is primarily bartending and it's straightforward. Nico and Khris are lovely, they make you feel very welcome and comfortable. It is a warm environment to be in as a solo traveller. The only problem was the apartment the volunteers live in. It has no air conditioning and there was a heatwave during my stay. After we complained the issue was resolved with portable air conditioning units. I would 100% recommend!

I had a great experience at Lol Hostel. Massimo, Nicholas and Christian are excellent people. The job is easy and the hostel is super nice where to meet international travelers . We volunteers had an apartment for accommodation, 2 minutes walking from the hostel. Thank you guys!

A fantastic workplace to volunteer at! Nicholas & Christian are the nicest men you will meet & LOL hostel is great because of their hard work. The work is easy & social, working on the bar and helping out in reception. Issue: the volunteer living standards were not satisfactory. Massimo (the owner) was doing his best to accommodate us, but the landlord of the volunteers apartment was slow to fix our broken toilet & shower. We constantly lived between the hostel & apartment (stressful) & the apartment did not have air conditioning (35 degree nights not nice). Hostel was better to live in.

Beautiful place and people. Massimo is such a nice guy, open minded, respectful and hard worker. Anything you need you can count with him. Is always keen to help you learning Italian and offering some local foods to the volunteers. I had such a nice month living in siracusa and doing reception / bar at LOL Hostel. Everything is close, walking distance to many spots to swim and doing snorkel. The rest of the team was super nice as well. 100% recommended if you wanna go in Sicilia.

Lol hostel was a fantastic experience! Massimo is the coolest boss I ever had that I can call him friend. Eugenio is a super cool and nice man and awesome coworker. I met so many people and heard a bunch of awesome stories with all the travelers that stoped my the hostel. Definitely an unforgettable experience in south Italia. PD: get ready to eat a lot of good cannoli and pizza.

Minha experiencia de quase 2 meses no Hostel foi incrível, me conectei com pessoas muito legais e de todos os cantos do mundo que me fizeram crescer como pessoa e me enriquecer sobre culturas diferentes. Chris, Marina, Nico, Pilar e todas as colaboradoras que estavam presente ou passaram nesse tempo, foram essenciais para que eu me sentisse em casa. Tanto el departamento donde vivíamos como la ubicación del hostel son perfectaa, a pocos metros de la estación de buses, de tren y muy vecino a Ortigia y centros comerciales. El trabajo es muy ameno y el ambiente muy acogedor, se respeta lo acordado. El horario laboral es inmejorable! Max y Cris son anfitriones excepcionales, les agradezco infinitamente por confiar en mi. Pilar y Nicolas también son excelentes compañeros y me ayudaron en todo momento. Estuve un mes en Sicilia y he podido recorrer casi toda la isla. Les agradezco de todo corazón por la experiencia vivida y sin dudas volvería
