The Experience
Hello we are a guest house in France. one hour from Tours by Train, 30 minutes from Chenonceau Chateau, Amboise a Clos du Luce Leonardo de vinci . We need some help during the month of AUGUST cleaning, making beds, serving breakfast, etc. ideally a non smoker, trustworthy and honest and you will have a private bedroom, with all meals included, please see details at our profile. This was a very positive volunteer experience, I would recommend it to any prospective traveler. The hosts were very accomodating and welcoming, and it didn't feel awkward. The meals provided were very decent, and they made sure to accomodate to allergies which was very nice. The working hours were very reasonable, and I had plenty of spare time to explore the surrounding countryside, which is very beautiful. The hosts provided a lot of information on navigating public transport and on the local attractions, which made it much easier. Their cat, Hey Hey is very cute and friendly.

It was an amazing experience! It was my first time volunteering through Worldpackers, and it couldn't have been better. The work was very easy and straightforward, and they respected all the hours and workdays. The food was good, and they always made sure to check if I liked what they were going to prepare. The hosts were always very friendly and kind. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment. I had the chance to explore a bit of the city during my free afternoons and even visited the famous zoo.

I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you Neil and Marie! Routine: serving breakfast, making beds and cleaning from 7:45 to around 12:00, it depends on how busy it is, but the hours are respected. What you get: cozy room and all meals. I recommend if you're looking for a chill place with great accommodation and easy work. Good to practice english, since the owners are english/chinese. Well located to visit castles. I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a sociable place, bc you work by yourself and the town is quiet. It might be difficult to work remotely because the internet is unstable.

Marie and Neil are very friendly and communicative. I felt very comfortable with them. I learned a lot about French and English culture from them. The tasks are easy to keep in order. The city is quiet and pleasant. There are movie theater, zoo, castles and restaurants where you can connect with local people
