I thorougly enjoyed my time at the organization, an unforgettable experience. Sam, Jim and Donald did an excellent job being there for us and creating a lovely atmosphere. The tasks were diverse. As the construction season for the Gothic building came to an end, we did many other tasks. Surrounded by beautiful nature, a fantastic group of volunteers with whom the cooperation was fantastic and I had a lot of fun. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this beautiful project.

An unforgettable experience! From the day I arrived, I was in awe of Donald's creation and his persistence in following his passion each day, despite his age! Words aren't enough to fully describe how incredible Sam is, and Jim has so much knowledge and experience to share! I met the best volunteers I could imagine, and thanks to everyone's kindness and generosity, we had the best time at this beautiful site! It's an opportunity for everyone to get inspired and challenge themselves in many different ways— a safe place to grow for anyone who is still wandering. Totally recommend!

It was great fun meeting the other volunteers and listening to Sam and Donald's stories. I definitely made some good memories in the canteen eating meals together and learning a few words in other languages. I expected to be working more on the stone building but we managed to be quite productive in other tasks. We built a shed, stacked firewood, and moved rocks for further work on the main project. We also had a chance to help run errands and enjoy a day trip away from work. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to contribute to a project in a small way and meet other travelers

Amazing experience. Working under Sam was a pleasure. Being an architect I really loved seeing a gothic building raise from the ground while I'm adding my piece of sand into the project was unique and inspiring. Donald is an extremely hard working talented individual who inspires us all to do our best. While I had other plans lined up I would've definitely stayed longer. Everything is comfy and the region is just breathtaking. Jim is a very interesting person with very interesting ideas. My only suggestion would be BEWARE OF SPIDERS. I highly recommend this volunteering!

The project is amazing and made even better by a great host. The kitchen was always fully stocked with food and if we wanted anything different we just needed to ask. The work was interesting and varied. Don is doing fantastic carving and Sam is a great host. I hope to visit again and see the progress.

I had the most incredible time with the organization over the last three weeks. Sam and Jim are caring leaders who really want the best for the volunteers and getting to know Donald and practice French with him was a joy. The work is interesting and makes you feel accomplished knowing that you've contributed to something that will outlast us all. The area is beautiful and Sam was kind enough to show us the local sights. The facilities were clean and well maintained and Sam was always ready to assist with any needs. I cannot recommend this experience enough and I hope to be back many times. ❤️

My stay at the organization was really great, I am glad I chose them as my first Worldpackers experience! I learned a lot in my two weeks at the site. The project itself is amazing, however no matter how good the mission is, it is the people at the organization who make it a truly unbelievable and inspiring. Donald, the mastermind behind this idea, is a true role model for everyone, very diligent and positive. Same goes for Sam, Jim and Suzie. They are very very kind and helpful and did their best to make me feel comfortable. I hope to return sometime in the future, definitely!
