Great experience, very physically demanding. The other volunteers were very fun, and several were returning volunteers which says a lot. The owners, Sam and Donald, were very welcoming. Our needs were looked after and the dorm was sufficient, but definitely not for anyone who's scared of spiders or insects! The project work was hard but it was great to see tangible progress everyday and Jim was great at training everyone. The social environment was wonderful and I will definitely be returning.

As someone who loves to build and travel I found the experience to be both fulfilling and inspiring as I was able to contribute to such a big project, it has had a big impact on how I see travel and work experiences.

Nothing I write here could adequately express how deeply grateful I am for the experience of the organization. Sam and Jim create an environment truly unmatched that I doubt I'll ever find again. My two weeks at the site were truly life changing and wouldn't be traded for anything in this world or another. I can only encourage any prospective volunteers to jump in, you'll see what I mean when you go.

This experience was my first Worldpackers, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. From the volunteers, the work, and the hosts. Sam is always cheerful and willing to give a hand with anything. The communication is great and there is great respect for everyone. Jim is a great guy with cool stories and is very knowledgeable about the work. Finally this place is awesome to meet a diverse group of people and get to know them. If you want to work hard and really enjoy your time this is the place to go!

Going to the organization-the organization has been without doubt one of the formative experiences in my life so far. I've met some of the most wonderful people I now know ( Jim and Sam and Donald amongst others) on this trip and been given the space to learn skills that I will carry with me. I can't recommend this experience highly enough and I hope anyone considering this opportunity takes it!

This was one of the best experiences of my life! met amazing people, built real connections and friendships i'll cherish forever. the work was tough but very rewarding. i grew stronger every day and became more aware of my body. seeing the result of our effort, knowing that each rock we put into place matters and that it is all part of something bigger, was very moving. it's humbling to know this project holds the work of so many before and after me. thank you Sam, Jim, and Donald. you made me feel at home and taught me lessons I'll carry forever.

Where do I even start? My two weeks at the organization were filled with rewarding stone masonry work, nightly jam sessions, exchanging cultures, and lots of laughs and love! Sam, Donald, and Jim are all incredible people and their hard work is admirable. I will cherish the memories and friendships from this experience for a lifetime! Meeting other volunteers from all around the world was also a highlight for me! I will definitely be back one day to share in the history of this beautiful project again :-) You do not want to miss out on this experience!

Really a great experience! A good choice if you want to learn about stone/woodworking and general construction-y things - not a lot of experience needed. We worked 9-5 everyday but with French style breaks so only about 5 hours total. Dorm is nice and comfy, food is freely available, and the people are very friendly and kind. It is very rural (closest grocery ~15 mins by car) so be aware of that, but incredible views of the stars and hikes through local pastures. Super grateful to Sam and the team for making such a cool experience 🫶 PS - very welcoming environment for women and queer people!

I had a really good time in the organization. Donald and Sam's spirit will always encourage me in my life. The volunteers I met there are also wonderful. They are so friendly and supportive. Even though some jobs were physically demanding, girls were so powerful and did very well. I am so proud of ourselves. I also very enjoyed our lunch time every day. It was like a world food festival. We introduced our culture through food and learn from each other. Countryside life is very simple but wonderful. The toilet and shower are separated and not very convenient, but it's not a big problem.
