The Experience

Hello! This year will be very different, but we are. social party hostel normally. Volunteers will normally share a dorm room and a bathroom with other workers. Cleaning is between 11 am-2 pm and usually doesn't even take that long, except laundry. Reception, checking people in and out, and being available to answer any questions. Serving drinks and food. Night reception, but can sleep in the common room.

Tonnie was the most amazing host I could have asked for. I loved my time at the hostel, it's like my second home now. Tonnie is super welcoming and fun and the work is really simple. I made some life long friends there and would definitely recommend it to anyone <3

My experience at the hostel has been so amazing! Tonnie and the other volunteers are so wonderful, I've made some life long friends. The work is well communicated and simple. Such a fun, party vibe but there's always the chance to chill!! Stayed here for a month and it become my new home 💕

I had the most amazing time at the hostel. I stayed for only 3 weeks but would've definitely extended my stay if I didn't already have other travel plans. Tonnie is such an amazing host and I'm going to miss her loads. Workload is far less than imagined and i felt so comfortable the whole time. Gonna miss this place loads.

The start of my volunteering experience was a bit rough (not the greatest first impression/warmest welcome, didn't mesh with the other volunteers at first, I became sick on my second day, etc.) I did end up enjoying my stay here. Once I got to meet and know the host, Tonnie, my perspective on things definitely changed. Tonnie is always available and responds to messages very quickly! The tasks required to be completed by volunteers were easy and working hours were respected. While the dorms and facilities are a bit rundown and can get dirty very quickly, the vibes and people make up for it!

This was the best experience as volunteer in my life, Tonnie and James are incredibly, this hostel its a party hostel, so if u don't wanna party and noise don't go! But if u wanna party everyday just go now! And u should starting practice beer pong, Jamies and Tonnie are the bests. I was supposed to stay 2 weeks and got a month! We turned into a family, the owners the volunteers and the guests so was staying for a whole month as well!, Everyone that i meet im gonna take with me for the rest of my life! Thank u for everything guys and already miss u! Planning to go back next year 😊
