Ben, the hoste, is a very grateful and kind man. He really cares about a safe and fun social environment for his staff and the hostel! Tasks are centered in the morning, giving you plenty of time to explore the hostel Mac in all its beauty or take on a second job. Ben will also take you on a trip to see the natural surroundings and if you like being in the salt water then you can rent a free bodyboard from the hostel!

My experience was incredible. From the first day, I was welcomed and made to feel at home. The work wasn't complicated and I had a lot of free time. The atmosphere was family oriented and I never felt alone, time passes so quickly in this hostel. Thanks to Ben and Monsy but also to Tash, Raquel and Ems.

The hostel Maquarie the hostel was one of the best things I've done! Met some truly amazing people and the volunteering was easy and fun to do as a team. I think the most important bit was meeting other international travelers, made real great friends and can't thank Ben and Monsy enough for the opportunity! 6 weeks went by in a flash and you truly don't want to leave! Thank you! Definitely recommend to other volunteers 😁

Our experience at the hostel was so much fun! This hostel is truly something special because of how social the hostel is. Everyone is friendly to everyone and there's just a happy atmosphere there. the hostel is a small town compared to city's in Germany but we still really liked it here. The beaches are beautiful and the town as well. It was great to surf here! All in all we had a great Month in this hostel and we would recommend it to everybody who wants to travel to Australia. Thank you to Ben and Monsy for having us here, it was so nice!! We will miss you

My experience in the hostel Backpacker was just perfect! I was feeling like at home after only few days, Ben and Monsi are amazing , every time available and close for you in time of need, a second family ! I loved them and the hostel , and I am already missing all of that 💖

I have had an amazing time here at the hostel. It's been so much fun and I recommend it to everyone. The job is easy and you have a lot of free time. Would definitely come back here as a guest or volunteer again.

I had a great experience at PMBackpackers: Ben and Monsy care about both the guests and the volunteers and I felt really good helping the hostel. The tasks are easy and I had a lot of free time after finishing them. The hostel has a very welcoming vibe and it's very easy to make friends there. I highly recommend!

I had a great time at PMB! The people are nice and there is always something happening. Monsy and Ben are two of the nicest people I met so far. They always have an open ear and are very flexible and encouraging. The Hostel has a perfect location, only a few hundert meters from the bus stop and the next groceries stores. The facilities are nice and clean. I really enjoyed my time here and would come back any time! It's a great place to get in contact with other travelers! Thank you Ben and Monsy for the nice time I had here. I'll miss y'all!

I absolutely loved working here!! The people and the atmosphere were so welcoming and felt like home away from home. I did sign up for this position thinking I would be making pancakes and ended up just housekeeping - for me it was not an issue at all but just something to make others aware of. I one hundred percent recommend this opportunity!!

Thanks for your kind words Sylvia. Yes unfortunately during COVID and then with staff shortages we were forced to make a stop to our pancake breaky. This aspect has been removed from our profile many months ago now so there will be no more confusion for other volunteers. This position was always pancake cook/cleaner and houskeeping and I understand your disappointment about the pancakes, I do hope you next experience includes making pancakes!

I stayed at the hostel for a month, the city and the hostel are wonderful and the experience itself is even more so. The owners Ben and Monsy are lovely people, available for anything and they helped me a lot during my stay at the hostel, putting me at ease. Ben is so friendly so everyone is included! And at the hostel there are also various activities such as pizza night and pool competitions. One of the best things is that you'll know different people from all over the world and it is fantastic to discuss about cultures! I never thought I could feel like home so far from my home, just do it
